Obviously with his stat line the first week, and seeing a little bit of his play on NFLN, I was anxious to see what he would do in the 2nd preseason game.

Looking at the #'s, they werent pretty; but how did he look? Garrard didnt look like he did anything to solidify his job status either, how did he look?

Do you think that he will supplant Garrard at any point this season?

Just saw a tweet from Greg Rosenthal that through 2 games, Gabbert's YPA is 4.64 yds (out of 39 attempts.)

Rookie from a spread offense with no OTAs. I really wouldn't expect much from him this year. I doubt he starts at all before Jax is eliminated from playoff contention unless Garrard gets hurt.

He looked like a very promising QB prospect that's only been with his NFL team for two weeks. He has a lot of little things to learn, but the potential is there. For example, repeatedly he tried to get outside the tackles when he felt pressure instead of stepping up in the pocket. But the arm is there, the brain is there, the work ethic and intangibles seem to be there. I expect he'll start at some point this season and think his dynasty potential is better than any QB the Jags have ever had. Everything about the kid screams franchise, he just needs some time to break bad habits.
