Bloom is lead writer for Bleacher Report (1 Viewer)

Bleacher Report recently hired @KegsnEggs too. I guess I can no longer dismiss Bleacher Report as just crappy slideshows.

I assume they get paid. Not a bad gig to have.

Next stop ESPN? That would be weird if the 4 letter network suddenly became a worthwhile read. Berry's hocus pocus act can only last so long, can't it? Or does he have some incriminating pics of the mucky-mucks there?

What to make of this? Congrats to Bloom, but every time I have ever cited a source from BR, I've been summarily laughed out of other blogs. "BR's your source?!?!, BWAHAHAHA......BWAHAHAHAA.."

Maybe BR is turning the corner.

Hopefully he writes better headlines. I hate "Stud Running Back released" only to find out its somebody like Anthony Dixon.

Thanks y'all. B/R has been hiring a lot of football writers I respect and enjoy reading, so I am honored to be part of their current push to add more writing talent.

Bleacher Report gets a bad reputation for the rumor-type content, but there's plenty of good stuff on there from a columnist perspective. Congrats.

Some of it is well deserved. Sometimes there are some good reads. I saw they posted up a new Mock draft yesterday and it reminded me of why I don't generally look there for info. I like the format though so hopefully this is a sign of good things to come by bringing in some quality writers.

Seems like every link I click on from google is some crappy slideshow, even if the content is good. No thanks.

Congrats Bloom.

Please don't do slideshows.

Does this effect your role at FBG? Still doing podcasts and in-season content or no?

God I hate those slide shows. Bloom, tell the powers that be how annoying they are to most people. Just give us articles we can read without the gimmickry.

Are they the site that pops up first on every google search but then puts every list they make into a slideshow format? If so, please tell them to stop.

Pretty sure it's all about the $$$. Each slideshow transition reloads the page. More clicks = more ads = more $$$.Bloom's paycheck and future pay raises depend upon them. ;)I avoid slideshows too.

Of course it is. In my case I do a -site:bleacherreport.com so they're getting nothing at all.

Almost every sports-related subject I google search brings up a result from bleacherreport. I clicked on a few way back when and saw the "Page 1 of 15" and said "ugh" and backpaged. Now I just avoid any result from that site altogether. Bloom, get them to stop this so I can read your stuff.

Hey Bloom, heard you the other day here in H-town on 790 AM with Lance Z and The Big Show. Good stuff and a welcome distraction from work, hope you make it a regular occurrence...
