My first thought is this...if it can happen to Blount it can happen to Martin. As a Martin owner it doesn't thrill me to hear Blunt is out with an injury, in fact I was assuming we have a 60/40 split one way or the other. It makes you think about all these picks we make too...injuries can just kill a roster.
I know a lot of people on this site frequently criticize the strategy...but this is EXACTLY why I have pretty much stopped drafting RB's early altogether. You're better off rostering 6-7 middle to late RB's and let things play out. I've been upside downing the last 5 years and every year I end up with more than 2 starting rb options just because of the nature of the position.

So, if you have a top 3 pick, you still go with Calvin?
I know it's not going to be a popular answer on this board but....Absolutely.If I had the first pick in my upcoming ppr draft I'd take Calvin. No hesitation You can walk out of those first 3 rounds with something like this.CalvinAndre/Fitz/JulioMarshall/AJ GreenThose are 3 monsters. Elite of the elite at the WR position. In the 4th I'd likely go RB (someone like McGahee or Reggie Bush). To me the only place where you have to make a judgement call is once Calvin is off the board. Despite the fact his ADP is climbing on ffc I still think I can get Julio in the 2nd in my real leagues.

SayWhat? :loco:
What he was really hoping is that Tampa would acquire Cedric Benson. That way, Doug Martin would only get 10% of the carries, making his chances of injury much smaller. Then if they could only persuade Emmitt to come out of retirement...

I think he was trying to be human in feeling bad about a guy getting hurt.

http://www.tampabay.com/blogs/bucs/content/legarrette-blount-says-groin-injury-not-serious-injury

Bucs running back LeGarrette Blount left the game in the second quarter with what turned out to be a groin injury, he said in the locker room afterward.

Blount said “I just took a hit on the side. It just tweaked my groin a little bit. It’s not a serious injury. I’ll be back soon. I’ll be good.”

However, Blount, when asked whether he could play in the team’s next game, said he couldn’t say. Blount was walking with a pronounced limp after the game.

“I’ve had nicks and bruises and that’s kind of what it is,” Blount said. “I mean, it hurt. It’s just something we’re going to have to look into (Saturday).

Matters to me. I like accurate injury info. Anyone that saw the hit and then the trainers checking out the knee, know it's not a groin issue.

Schiano says just a left groin injury.
Schiano's lying.
Does that matter? It's what was reported.
Well then you know more than the player/coach. I know it seems odd, but that's what they're saying. It makes it valid.

I don't want to see the rookie overused, was hoping for a 60/40 split with Blount...that's all.
