ATL got an elite CB for a 7th rounder. ATL has him for a couple yrs at $6M. Yes, Eagles were owned. Whats a better offseason move thus far?Owned? No other team offered even a fifth rounder... but I guess you're a better judge of talent then 31 NFL teams' executives. C'mon dude. Best pick up of the offseason? Hardly. Not even sure how good he'll do there... .they will work a 3 good cb rotation, he's still paid a lot of money. This is the bold predictions thread, no?Either way, Philly got owned and ATL made the best move of the offseason thus far.oops.More like Asante + just a 2013 3rd for a 2012 1st.
Great call here... didn't see this coming.Courtney Upshaw will slide to the 2nd round. He's a 4-3 end but isn't elite and once you get to pick 24 it's almost all 3-4 defenses.
Ummm... Mario Williams, Brandon Marshall to start. Not sure why you have this huge hard-on for Asante. Don't you put ANY stock into the fact that every team in the nfl (all 31 others) wouldn't give us even a 5th rounder?? How can you ignore this over and over and put a 1st round grade on Asante.ATL got an elite CB for a 7th rounder. ATL has him for a couple yrs at $6M. Yes, Eagles were owned. Good thing you edited that, because when it said "1 from group A, 1 from group 2" I was getting ready to trust your opinion, for serious.1 from group A, 1 from group BCLE somehow gets both Trent Richardson and Ryan Tannehill. Or, Justin Blackmon and Brandon Weeden for an Oklahoma State connection.

Yep I did put '2' instead of "B". Not quite as big of a deal as claiming that all 32 GMS are crazy and Asante is worth a 1st even though none of them say he's even worth a 5th.Good thing you edited that, because when it said "1 from group A, 1 from group 2" I was getting ready to trust your opinion, for serious.1 from group A, 1 from group BCLE somehow gets both Trent Richardson and Ryan Tannehill. 3 years in ATL, not 2. He completely doesn't fit our new scheme... we are better off with DRC/Nnamdi and Hansen in the slot then Samuel/Nnamdi and DRC in the slot. Most analysts are saying the eagles made the right move.... and not a SINGLE one of them would say he's worth more then a 4th rounder...nor did any GM in the league... but I guess you know better then all of them. Philly had a great draft and the defense they are moving on with is better then the one with Asante. You won't find someone arguing he's worth a first rounder... that statement you made is beyond insane, just admit it.Paying $100mill for Mario, yeah, great move by the BillsUmmm... Keep substantiating your arguments with what I think Samuel is worth/how good he is. Philly had a great draft?! They made 1 pick, relax dude. Wait until Sunday to finish. You traded away a great CB for nothing. Of your elite DBs, Nnamdi seemed the least impressive last year, but I guess he was too expensive to buy out.3 years in ATL, not 2. Nailed the Weeden pick... I actually am surprised they took him so early. Seems they could have used a 2nd rounder to get Weeden, although they don't have a ton of ammo after the Minny trade to move up any later. Team still desperately needs some weapons for Weeden though.Following a theme we use for each Fantasy Football season, i thought we should start a thread on bold predictions for the upcoming NFL draft. Most of these won't come true since they are bold predictions, but its kind of fun to see the possibilities. I'll start.
There's a lot of talk about Cleveland's choices at the #4 pick. Many say they will take either Trent Richardson or, more recently, Ryan Tannehill. I think they instead go with Justin Blackmon at #4 (thats not the bold part) then do somewhat of a reach at #22 and take Brandon Weeden at QB. Luck, Griffin, and Tannehil will all be off the board by then and Cleveland needs a QB (even though the Browns are saying thay are sticking with Colt McCoyA). Weeden is ranked as the #4 QB coming out, is older and more mature, and already has a chemistry with Blackmon. Might work out nicely and pay quick dividends.
What are your bold predictions?
I keep saying that because you refuse to admit that Samuel is not worth a 1st rounder. When every nfl team put a 6th round or lower grade on him. We traded him away because he wanted out, didn't fit our scheme, is 31 years old with injury concerns, DRC sucks at playing the slot and looks great on the outside, and was owed a ton of money. The 3 cb rotation didn't really work for us, and with washburns system, a guy like samuel isn't that valuable... certainly not 10 million valuable. I agree a 7th is nothing... but we were going to release him anyways, and this way we are off the hook for some of that money/cap hit we would have faced had we cut him outright. The eagles would have taken a 4th for him if a single other team offered, but obviously they didn't, and obviously all 31 GM's had a reason for not giving a 4th, let alone a 1st, for him. Was time to move on from him, good for both sides. Would have liked to get more, but the market determines what we get, not the fans, and the market determined his worth was a 7th rounder. We did have an outsanding pick today. As did pitt, congrats on Decastro.Keep substantiating your arguments with what I think Samuel is worth/how good he is. Philly had a great draft?! I didnt ever expect that Samuel would/should get a #1 from someone else, I just think his 5 yr value is around there. Very hard to draft someone that good, yet easy to put him in your lineup, so why not trade a high pick for a guy like that?! I think he has enough years left that he's worth a lot more than Philly got for him. Apparently GMs disagree, but I dont see why. Maybe I was strong with a 1st pick proclamation, but getting Asante for even a 3rd sounds like thievery.I keep saying that because you refuse to admit that Samuel is not worth a 1st rounder. Bit of a hijack, but how much would you pay for one of the best DEs in the NFL? The Giants proved what we already knew - a good pass rush helps win championships. I don't know if he'll be worth it, but aside from QB, an elite DE is perhaps the most valuable player in the NFL right now.Paying $100mill for Mario, yeah, great move by the Bills![]()
Got this one too:Great call here... didn't see this coming.Courtney Upshaw will slide to the 2nd round.

Of course, if you make 5000 predictions you're bound to get one or two right.Eagles trade up to get D.Poe Fletcher Cox.
I officially admit I was wrong, and as much as it pains me to say, the Vikings did a real good job last night.I like that you are making bold predictions. I don't like that you think the Vikings can pull off a bunch of moves for a buttload of picks. It's the Vikings. Odds are, they try to work trades that don't materialize, time out on their pick, panic, and then reach for somebody they could have had in the 3rd Round.Minnesota trades down to 5 with Tampa.Tampa takes Richardson.Cleveland trades down with Buffalo.Buffalo takes Kalil.Minnesota trades down again with Arizona.Arizona takes Claiborne.Minnesota takes Reiff and gets a boatload of picks this year and next year to fill in multiple needs.
Almost right. The Dallas Cowboys trade the 1.14, 3.18, and Felix Jones to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the rights to draft Morris Claiborne at 1.5.
Giants draft a RB in the 1st or 2nd round.
well he is a tackleEagles trade up into the top 10 to select a tackle.
Just seems like an awful lot to pay a guy who has struggled to stay healthy. He's worth 75-80 mill, dont know about 100.If Im the Giants I give JPP close to $100 though. If I recall correctly, weren't the Bills one of the low cap teams that needed to spend money in order to avoid penalties after the new CBA? If so, spending this money makes sense for them. Their defense is also starting to look very good.Just seems like an awful lot to pay a guy who has struggled to stay healthy. #justsayinUndrafted? mmmm, no.Packers would take him with one of their 4th round compensatory picks, but he will likely be gone by then.Fixed. He's going to drop way too low or be undrafted and be great for an NFL team. Wisconsin homer here, but still. He's a dual-threat guy who can make all the throws and he's being discounted because he's a couple inches shorter than other guys. Same height as Drew Brees, though. I'm stashing him in deep dynasty leagues.Russel Wilson ends up the best quarterback in the class after being selected in the third round undrafted.
