Somehow, someway, we must figure out how we can match up all of the leagues against each other. (Without a relegation/promotion format). Is there a way to “mathematically” figure out which league is best overall? Some of you guys play in crazy league formats. Is there such a thing?

It should be easy to just take the top two teams from each league in terms of w/l then total points, and put them into a separate playoff league. Just need to figure out if sleeper does this or if we need to do it on mffl

Sleeper does the scoring for us in each of the 4 leagues and we just keep track (here?) of the score and match up and cross-league champ, no?

Would totally work, just need someone to be the "commissioner" of it. Preferably someone from fbg so it's impartial to all leagues.

If we make it super simple (e.g. highest scoring team of the final 8 teams in the 4 leagues championship games) then it’s basically done for us. We look at the final scores in each championship and “crown” the team with the highest score of those 8 teams as the SharkPool Home League Champ.

We could also just do total points across the playoffs for those teams, take out any randomness for the ultimate playoffs

Love it. But each league gets 6 teams in the playoffs. Do we do total points for all 24 teams across the 3 weeks of the fantasy playoffs?

I actually almost brought the same idea up a couple days ago and then got distracted. But I was going to suggest the top-3 by W/L after week 14 combine in a 12 team 3 week points race during the FF playoffs. We run it in a separate prize pot and on a shared spreadsheet and Sleeper lineups calculate the points just as they do during the real playoffs of these leagues. We just use those data. Points race is simplest IMO and top 3 makes a total of 12 which just feels right. We have to ALL agree now though, or before week 1 anyway. I would propose $20 per all entries which would yield a pool of $960 for those final 12 to compete for.

Typically 1st place is 50 or 55% of a purse so call it an even $500 for 1st. So a person that finishes 3rd in their individual league and gets bounced in the head to head league playoffs could still win the big prize if they finish strong enough in the final two weeks. Hahah this is crazy but I love it.

Has to be unanimous among all 48 though. Ok 46 or something because a couple of us are in more than one subleague.

I’m only interested in a Super Champion across all leagues being crowned if it’s for fun and not extra money. It’s not that I can’t afford it but I’m not throwing any more money into fantasy football this year. To me, this idea is a fun idea where “bragging rights” is the perk and reward.

My only issue is that I happened to decide on a whim to join a basic redraft league. If I knew there was an unwritten idea of everyone coming back next year I don't think I would have joined.

I'm glad I did, and I'm totally on board going forward... It's kind of the same reason I didn't suggest some kind of extra pot simply for the overall winner. Would require people to put in more than they expected to, and with half of league four apparently spending a billion dollars on dog surgeries, it's not something I feel like should be implemented now.

As for changing payouts of already collected fees, I think it needs to be a unanimous agreement.

Effectively whatever format anyone decides requires zero extra effort from us. I doubt I would cater my lineup differently between the main league and whatever this is turns into

or people can buy players in a Calcutta with payouts for 12 team league winners and overall intradraft league black eyed joe championship.

technically, we could pull it off this year. buy teams in a Calcutta around weeks 12-14. or heck, just do it after teams are done drafting. people can evaluate the completed drafts and place bids on who drafted the strongest teams.

I don't think anyone "agreed" on 8. As far as I can tell the amount of teams was still very much up to debate and nothing had been settled. 8 was just the number I threw out because it seemed easy.

I do agree that I personally didn't address your payout idea while mentioning it. I feel like it's another things, that would require unanimous approval. Anything related to money needs to be set in stone before payment, or must be agreed to by all. As for the why do it without the money prize... It's just for ****s and giggles. You get to be king of the day on the message boards. It's a fun little thing, and you don't need to do anything except set your lineup as regular in your main league.

That said, I brought up the idea as something to bounce off the group. As far as I'm concerned, we're still in the process of putting together the details on what exactly that looks like. And we haven't heard from near enough the majority to say anything is set in stone in any regard. I don't feel like the others were acting like anything was set in stone, but reading tone online is hit or miss in the best of times.

Point is - I'm still very much interested in what you have to say, and I'm willing to go out on a limb and say the others are too. And I apologize for not directly answering your point - it bothers the **** out of me when people do that to me.

Only piece of reading material I even look at is Fantasypros. Outside of my declining brain, that's all I look at. I've been doing this since 1992. Long time. I do me. Statistically speaking I trade more then just about any owner I've played with. I led our league last year in trades. I just enjoy it. I go into each draft with a reckless arrogance. I picked 1st.

QB. Mahomes and Fields. Feel good about those two with this scoring. I'm not a Chiefs fan, but i really enjoy watching Mahomes. Almost went Nix instead. I think Chiefs open it up a bit. Fields has the ability to be a top 5 fantasy QB. Will Glen take the training wheels off and let him play? Maybe.

WRS. Ja'marr Chase. AJ Brown. Ladd Mcconkey. Christian Kirk. Hollywood Brown. Amari Cooper. This is about as good of WR group as you can get in a 12 man league. My strength. My pride. My top 3 are all gonna be in the top 12 at the end of the year. My happiest WR pick was Kirk. I just feel he is the perfect compliment to Nico and gonna be Strouds guy. He is my flag plant. Watch. Amari was a low investment. My gut says I end up getting two bye week starts out of him.

RBS. When you go WR early the RB position is gonna suffer. Treveyon Henderson. D'andre Swift. Javante Williams. Austin Ekeler. Roschon Johnson. I only need to start 2 each week. I will be able to. I really need Henderson to hit. I think he is gonna be a top 10 ppr RB. His floor is 60 receptions. Just a big yardage chunk guy. Double digit TDS. Swift has the tools. Has limited competition. Has an amazing coach. I feel okay about him. I've loved Javante since forever. He struggled bad last year. Surprisenly enough he still had 52 receptions. Can he be the Cowboys goal line hammer and catch another 52? Yep. I got questions here for sure, but hopeful.

TE. Evan Engran. David Njoku. I'm set. I went in knowing I was gonna reach on Engram. The stars have aligned for him this year. Barring injury I see 90 receptions in that offense. A monster year coming before he fades. Njoku is just one of those polarizing humans. Flacco gonna make him money.

DEFENSE. Last year in this league I streamed the position and it got old. I ranked the five best defenses. Literally went through each schedule and gave a point for a good matchup and minus point for a bad matchup. I had the Steelers as my #1 ranked defense. Is the 13th round early? Maybe. I don't care.

Super tough and competitive league again. I'm a playoff team. Ill talk a lot of the trash and make a lot of trades. I already have 3 offers out. Will I beat Joey to claim the title this year? You damn right I will.

Only piece of reading material I even look at is Fantasypros. Outside of my declining brain, that's all I look at. I've been doing this since 1992. Long time. I do me. Statistically speaking I trade more then just about any owner I've played with. I led our league last year in trades. I just enjoy it. I go into each draft with a reckless arrogance. I picked 1st.

QB. Mahomes and Fields. Feel good about those two with this scoring. I'm not a Chiefs fan, but i really enjoy watching Mahomes. Almost went Nix instead. I think Chiefs open it up a bit. Fields has the ability to be a top 5 fantasy QB. Will Glen take the training wheels off and let him play? Maybe.

WRS. Ja'marr Chase. AJ Brown. Ladd Mcconkey. Christian Kirk. Hollywood Brown. Amari Cooper. This is about as good of WR group as you can get in a 12 man league. My strength. My pride. My top 3 are all gonna be in the top 12 at the end of the year. My happiest WR pick was Kirk. I just feel he is the perfect compliment to Nico and gonna be Strouds guy. He is my flag plant. Watch. Amari was a low investment. My gut says I end up getting two bye week starts out of him.

RBS. When you go WR early the RB position is gonna suffer. Treveyon Henderson. D'andre Swift. Javante Williams. Austin Ekeler. Roschon Johnson. I only need to start 2 each week. I will be able to. I really need Henderson to hit. I think he is gonna be a top 10 ppr RB. His floor is 60 receptions. Just a big yardage chunk guy. Double digit TDS. Swift has the tools. Has limited competition. Has an amazing coach. I feel okay about him. I've loved Javante since forever. He struggled bad last year. Surprisenly enough he still had 52 receptions. Can he be the Cowboys goal line hammer and catch another 52? Yep. I got questions here for sure, but hopeful.

TE. Evan Engran. David Njoku. I'm set. I went in knowing I was gonna reach on Engram. The stars have aligned for him this year. Barring injury I see 90 receptions in that offense. A monster year coming before he fades. Njoku is just one of those polarizing humans. Flacco gonna make him money.

You have to use python or some other script language with sleeper.com's API....OR you can take advantage of some stuff done by others....

Okay, this is interesting. What is the use case? I mean what data would you export and what would you do with it?

From what I've skimmed you can export the draft results, weekly matchups, etc. The use case presumably is to facilitate numbers based smack talk.

Very disappointing and seems obvious to me we should shelve any talk of combo contests indefinitely. League UNO was trucking awesomeness all day to each of our doorsteps last year. I'll have more of that and less of the above, thanks but no thanks.

I'm not interested in paying additional money to combine leagues 1 to 4 into some grand champion but if someone wants to put together some points calculation or manually figure out some playoff total points for 2-3 top teams per league and declare one for trash talking I don't care. It's not worth getting worked up about for sure.
