Bored Upgrade - discussion (3 Viewers)

Just a friendly reminder to keep it civil in here, fellas.

It's entirely OK to not like the new interface/format, but it is not OK to flame one another about differing opinions on that format.

One of the best features of this forum was the ability to click on a thread that you had read before and have it take you directly to the newest post you had not read.  Is that feature gone now?

Mobile versions of sites are a thing of the past.  Responsive is the new standard and that's what they did here.  One code base and one UI to fit all screens no matter what device you are on.   Deal with it.
Seems a version where I can customize and turn things off if not desired would work if this all-is-one-one-is-all format is the way of the world now.

Honestly I do not know, what is this "responsive" new standard you speak of?

I can deal with all the minor stuff - post counts, timestamp, etc. But, NOT having a "mobile" version where I can limit battery usage by excluding battery draining graphics is huge and will surely impact my use of the site.

What happened to the "My Content" link?  I really liked being able to view all the threads I'd participated in recently and quickly seeing they had been updated with posts.

Strange.. I see the "Star" symbol on both Mobile( Android) and Desktop which, when there are new responses since the last time I clicked on them, brings me to the first unread entry.

Pretty dumb way of thinking given the move to more and more mobile web surfing. Experiences should be optimized for the small screen more than ever.

So I may as well ask now since I've been meaning to...is there any way to UNfollow threads you've previously posted in? Like so the star next to the thread doesn't show up?

If you clicked quote on someone to reply to them but then change your mind, its going to still be there when you try to quote another person's posts and you can't seem to erase the quote box.

Do we not have an HTML version anymore?

I've had this issue also.. The fix is to click the top of the quote box.. You'll see a "symbol" show up.. Click that symbol and press delete/Back Space and it will go away .. At least on the desktop and Andriod phone that works.

I have a galaxy ( which should be Android) but no go.

On my Samsung phone, I don't get the symbol in the top left.  I use dolphin browser.

I just have to click the time stamp and make sure the full quote box is "highlighted/blue". Click below then back space and it deletes.

Sometimes I have to do it twice

Each post need to be 1/3 the current size it is.  Move the Avatar & username back to the top left.  Get rid of all the space on bottom.

Also the notifications pop up and go to the menu. If I click on the pop up, it doesn't update the menu that it was read. So I still have to click on the menu to make the red 1 go away.

Interesting.. Maybe it is a browser thing on the phone.. I use Google Chrome. works nice since I can sync my bookmarks from my desktop to the phone

I was scrolling through this thread looking to see if all of my immediate complaints got covered already. In doing so, I became used to everything and I'm over it now. Viva La New Board!
