Bradshaw and Brown (and Wilson?) (1 Viewer)

I looked for a thread on this and couldn't find one. Looks like Bradshaw is a go this week, coaches are saying Brown has earned a bigger role. Thoughts on the split? I don't see this as being similar to the Bradshaw/Jacobs rotation, Brown and Jacobs are two different backs. Who gets the goal line carries? Is Wilson hung out to dry?

While Bradshaw is slated to get the start, I see a 60/40 split in favor of Brown this week. Bradshaw (and Coughlin) says he is ready to go, but he still has a bulging disk in his neck, and with Brown running hard and effectively, there is no need for the Giants to have Bradshaw take too heavy a load. I do look for Bradshaw to run hard when he is in the game and make the most of his carries, however.

David Wilson will get limited touches at this point, but he brings a different dimension than Brown or Bradshaw. Wilson looks overwhelmed by the pro game at the moment, and if he does not learn to protect the ball, Coach Coughlin will keep Wilson on the bench.

People are crazy to think this job isn't Wilson's by the end of the season. Yes, he needs more time time to get acclimated to the speed of the game, but he's much more talented than the other two guys. Bradshaw is on his last legs and while I like Brown's story, there is a reason the guy got cut four or five times already. Go all the way back to his college days, following his freshman season and you will find a guy that has sustained numerous injuries. Yes, he looked sharp against the hapless Panther D, but to think he can sustain that over the course of the season is asking a lot. By the way, I own Brown and Wilson. I'm trying to be objective when looking at the situation.

There's nothing in your argument about Bradshaw, Brown or Wilson that supports the timing of when you contend Wilson takes over (by the end of the season). He's obviously the intended heir apparent but when that transpires depends on a lot of factors:- Wilson's readiness

- the Giants win-loss record (and playoff contention)

- the performance of Bradshaw and Brown

I drafted Bradshaw and Wilson but let Wilson go due mostly to tight roster limits and what I've seen thus far. I anticipate more or less what the previous posters are seeing - Bradshaw/Brown with a dash of Wilson for flavour.

While he stays healthy, Bradshaw will be the guy who gets 60% of the carries and moves them between the 20's. Brown will see a Jacobs-like role and also likely be featured near the goalline to take away the pounding on Bradshaw. Wilson will be a situational player who sees 2-3 snaps per game.

The correct answer to this question is simply: Who ever has the hot hand. That's what every word out of New York is that the hot hand will get the majority of the carries. Right now, that is Brown. This week they'll probably start Bradshaw give him his 3-4 carries then probably take him out in favor of Brown if he can't do anything. If Brown is able to put something together expect Bradshaw to lose his job faster than most think.

While I agree that Wilson likely has the most talent running the ball I think you are way off base on your time table.Coughlin will not tolerate a RB who puts the ball on the turf and is questionable in pass protection. No way, no how.Brown was cut by four teams in the same offseason coming off an achilles tear. It's not like he has bounced around the league for multiple seasons. The Giants drafted him and it seems like they like him because they brought him back. He has proven productive and seems to have the confidence of Coughlin (something Wilson definitely does not have) and the team more than Wilson until that changes you can expect the Giants to bring Wilson along slowly.Barring injury to both Bradshaw and Brown I don't think you should expect much from Wilson this season.

people are more crazy to think Wilson will be starting by season end. Bradshaw is still Tommy's boy, and Brown shows more talent then Wilson right now.
