Bradshaw outscores Ray Rice in week one (1 Viewer)

Not sure why Bradshaw is ranked so low by everyone and Rice is ranked relatively high, but this is my call week one.

Write it down, make the swap in your lineups. Bradshaw blows up, Rice doesn't find the endzone.

All I know is the guy on this site (Waldman) who said to get Rice in his article last year is saying in his article this year to get Bradshaw.

I have Bradshaw.

And I think this Waldman guy is pretty smart.

Don't underestimate how much Ray Rice will be used in the passing game with Boldin being covered by Revis Island. I think Bradshaw will get more yards but Jacobs, Hakeem Nicks will get the TD's. Sorry I still think Ray Rice outscores Bradshaw.

Delahomme can also outscore brees week 1, go figure....

We're talking week one, that's not all that bold considering how strong the Jets run D is, especially now that Jenkins is back plugging the middle.

I started a thread early in the offseason comparing the two players.

I think they will finish with similar numbers in 2010, and maybe beyond, assuming both stay healthy.

Nicks owner by chance?

If Bradshaw is running well, Coughlin will play it conservative and give Bradshaw a shot at running it in or getting the ball on a screen. Bradshaw's the type of back where running it in from 12 yards out is an option. They'll play it safe on early downs,

I agree with the thread title at its most base level.

Bradshaw will outscore Rice this week.

My predictions for PPR scoring:

Bradshaw - 28 FF points

Rice - 27 FF points

One huge island of right in a sea of wrong.

Bradshaw may make good trade bait after this weekend. Hopefully he can put up some nice numbers on the Indy D that just got torched by Foster this past weekend. That would give him an excellent start to the season.

this thread is a good lesson to those "experts" ranking too much based on name recognition/ADP and not enough on matchups/opportunity...so I agree, sticky this thread, learn from it.

I like Bradshaw to have a good year, but the reason why Rice underperformed in week one was because he was going up against the best defense in the NFL.

24. Kareem Huggins27. Lesean Mccoy

28. Rashard Mendenhall

The Huggins call was no good, but I was almost dead on with my projections of Mendenhall, for 60 minutes. Mccoy ran for a TD, othewise i would have been right on him too. Not to mention, the reason i ranked him so low was because i thougt he wouldnt get many carries, and i was right, he only had 7.I noticed you didnt point out how i ranked Foster, Forte, Charles and Bradshaw in the top 10 and had Ray Rice and Shonn Greene outside of the top 20.

Just thought it was a little comical since huggins is a backup and didn't even touch the ball. Don't worry, your E-rep is still in tact. Just having a little fun with your self-congratulatory post. What you say about Mendy & McCoy can just as easily be applied to Charles too FYI.

Nice call. But did anyone actually watch the game? He looked like ##### through most of it.
Bradshaw or Rice?
Bradshaw
I watched both games, and i have to say, Bradshaw looked much better than Rice.
Big diff in the defenses faced. Rices stats are self explanatory. Bradshaws stats ended up looking pretty good but in watching him it was painful for about 90% of the game.

Exactly why I made the call...not sure what your point was here.I'll have to take a look at this week's rankings to see if I can identify where the "experts" have made yet another weekly ranking mistake.I think CBS has theirs out...ESPNs come out today or tomorrow.

I was at the Giants game and from where I was sitting, Bradshaw looked terrible for the first 3/4 of the game. He was getting booed in the stadium. He had the one long run to the goal line, and then punched in the TD a play or two later, but otherwise he was almost completely ineffective.

No credit to the Carolina front 7? i didnt see much room for Bradshaw to run.

First correct call out of the last 100 you've made. Nice job finding the nut, you dumb-luck little squirrel. Hella' proud of you.I started Matt Forte over Ray Rice this week. Does this make me as lucky as you that I went against ADP and with the matchups?

I wish CBS "experts" set the lines in Vegas
