Brady Bye Week. (1 Viewer)

I have seen people with Garrard on their waiver wire. Unfortunately I do not have the luxury of picking up 2 Mike Sims Walker TDs from Garrard on my waiver wire.

Of the starting QBs left in my league, I have Delhomme vs. a cardinals D that I believe will wreck shop. Kerry Collins/Vince Young? Marc Bulger, Stafford and Alex Smith.

Alex Smith seems primed for a pee-in-the-bed meltdown after bursting back onto the scene last week, and i don't buy his snake oil, but what else am i gonna do? What are you guys doing? I should have drafted a back up.

Slim pickings in my 12 team Redraft. Haven't been carrying a back up, and the waiver wire prospects are dim.

The QB's in the DET/STL game both have good match-ups.. Problem is they suck.

Like you, I'm not too confident in Smith repeating last week, especially on the road.

My only other options are Fitzpatrick and Delhomme.

At this point, I'm leaning towards Stafford/Culpepper. Very nice match up at home, and hopefully CJ is back in action.

It's either someone who is known to be terrible or Alex Smith who could possibly not be terrible. I've picked up Alex Smith in both leagues I own Brady.

One league I picked up Hasselbeck before their bye week, then in another did the same w/ Garrard.
Drafted Garrard as Brady's back-up. The fact that the Titans are pathetic this year gives me hope Garrard will put up good numbers (again) tyhis week.

Maybe Stafford if he's healthy again.

Otherwise the options for me are --

Anderson

Bulger

Delhomme

Had to drop Hasselbeck for Greene on Sunday after Leon went down and couldn't get him back after waivers cleared.

don't expect much from Smith if you are starting him against Indy . . . it's now only 8 passing TDs in the last 23 games vs the Colts . . .

don't know why you are sad - Hasslebeck is playing behind a BAD O-line . . .

Rolling with Bulger vs. DET and praying for at least a mediocre day.
if he can't roll against the Lions, then he should park the car forever . . .
I'm totally screwed as well. I didn't plan ahead and watch the WW last week like I should have, and snoozed on Sunday while another guy picked up Alex Smith. The only serviceable QB's on my WW are Stafford, Bulger, and Delhomme. I've got a couple trade offers out there for Garrard and Alex Smith, but I doubt either will be accepted. I picked Stafford up late this afternoon and will watch his progress throughout the week, but it's looking like I might be rolling with Bulger on Sunday unfortunately.

Orton was somehow dumped to the WW before his bye week. I picked him up for my week 10 Shaub replacement, but I did notice the team right behind me (Brady Owner) wasn't prepared for his bye week. So I bid high, well higher than normal and I got Orton, and simultaneously screwed him over. He ended up taking Delhomme. I feel like such an jerk... but it goes to show, you have to do your homework and prepare for the game 3 to 4 weeks ahead of you.

Stafford has gotten better each with each start. I think he throws for 300 yards against the Rams.

I'm not expecting much, obviously. Just more than Delhomme, et al.

Alex Smith is going to get completely owned this week. The Colts are a strong pass D this year. Would much rather start Marc Bulger(1st choice) or QB Lions. Sure, they suck(then again so does Smith), but they play against some of the worst pass Ds in the league.

I have Flacco in one league. Denver isn't a great matchup. Might try trading him away.

Picked up Fitzpatrick in another but keep wanting to go to Stafford because of the match up.

I was wrestling with this question over the past few weeks ---- namely, if push came to shove, who would be the better start, det or stl.

I got lucky and was able to cover with garrard, but I'm still wondering which way I would have gone, and I'm not even convinced garrard is the better pick.

I think indy will eat alex smith alive.

this should've been a poll --- bulger or stafford(Q?)?

if u have choice of bulger or stafford, go with bulger. Megatron is still a questionmark, and stafford is bound to be slightly rusty. Bulger should go for 2 atleast...

I drafted both Stafford and Cpep as my targeted bye week filler for Brady. Seeing that they are playing St.L week 8 I felt this was the perfect insurance to have for Brady and best of all, I could draft them both late and ensure I'd have one of them starting (cause really what are the chances both get injured). Well, unless Stafford plays it looks like I may be in a spot here. I'm currently bidding on A. Smith to be safe.

I actually have Ryan and Flacco as backups to Brady(10 team league, shut your faces!) THough I do need to manage Big Ben's bye in another league, and am grabbing Mr. Bulger...
