Brady Owners: did you win this weekend? (1 Viewer)

Seems that many who drafted Brady ended up with those round 4-6 backs who had good weeks this week (FWP, T.Jones, K.Smith, Forte, etc.) while many of the 1st-round backs struggled. So a draft that started Brady-Owens-Fitz-Bush-Calvin Johnson-FWP should have had a pretty good week.

So did Brady owners win or lose this week? My one team with Brady won, but I'm stuck with only Delhomme right now.

Cautiously optimistic - still several players to go in the MNF games for other teams, but between MBIII and Turner I may have salvaged wins (play 2 teams/week).

Brady killed my score in the league I have him, but Parker has kept me alive (barely) going into MNF.

Basically thanks to Michael Turner, I overcame Brady's injury and won in week one. However, this is a dynasty league in which I acquired Brady in the offseason and have only one year left on Turner's contract; I'm thinking that with only Delhomme in reserve I might be best served trying to move Turner for picks and future assets.

Won easily thanks to Turner, CJ3, Wayne, and Burleson. Left with only Garcia at QB now. Traded Hasselbeck before week 1. This is a dynasty contract league and Hass only had 1 year left and same bye as Brady. Not that he looks like a good option now anyway.

Yeah, I won...had Romo as my other quarterback and started him instead at the last moment...love gut feelings.

same issue here.. I was really trying to decide between Brady Romo Brees or Warner.... Thankfully opted for Brees.

Yes! Thankfully in a PPR league and I was saved by Bush, DeSean Jackson, Cotchery, and Andre Johnson. The rest of the year is looking a little dim, though. Have to get creative on the waiver wire, I only have Trent Edwards as a back-up because he had a favorable match-up during Brady's week 4 bye.

Not looking good; need >16.5 out of McFadden tonight in a PPR league.

Here's to hoping he breaks one early.

I would just run with Delhomme... he is going to have a big year.

I don't own Brady, but the owner in my league who has him is down by 3.7 points right now. He has Eddie Royal to play tonight, and his opponent is done. He has Delhomme as his backup, so he should be in good shape until week 9 which is the Panthers bye.

2 leagues and my week 1 opponents each had Brady. I smoked both of them by at least 40 points. I still have my quarterback in each game to go tonight.

Need a FG from Mason Crosby tonight to win...
Squeaked by thanks to Frank Gore, Brandon Jacobs, and Dwayne Bowe, although mainly due to facing an opponent who had an off week (Torry Holt, Joseph Addai). I'm definitely concerned the rest of the way, with David Garrard now the only QB on my roster.

Tied going into tonight...I've got Grant and Rice; he's got the Packers D, so I'm expecting to squeak out the win.

Going forward, backup is Trent Edwards. Time to work a trade.

In my main league, a TD-only league, I have Brady. I'm up 29-19. But I'm done, and my opponent still has Rodgers (3 pts/passing TD) and Jennings to go. :lmao:

Brady owner here. I'm up 123 (I'm done) to 73 (he's got Sydney Rice left).

Good points from Reggie Bush, BUF, Calvin Johnson and Boldin sealed the deal and I'll play Kurt Warner next week.

I'll try to pick up Matt Cassel but I won't be heartbroken if it doesn't happen. Chances are that Brady was going to be very good but I wasn't expecting excellent like last year. I think Cassel will finish the year as the starter and will put up top 10 numbers but not top 5 numbers so he's still worth picking up and I'll play the matchups now with Warner and Cassel IF I get Cassel.

I have Brady in 3 leagues,

I won all 3 games, but I am not stoked about going through

the season with, TJax, Campbell and Anderson as my new QBs.

Just to show it isn't all luck  the Brady owner who also started Julius Jones and Kenny Watson had the highest score in my league this week thanks to his Steelers...

67.84 POINTS------------Brady, Tom NEP QB = 1.52Jones, Julius SEA RB = 2.48Parker, Willie PIT RB = 23.52Watson, Kenny CIN RB = 0.64Chambers, Chris SDC WR = 7.76Ward, Hines PIT WR = 15.04Winslow, Kellen CLE TE = 7.88Vinatieri, Adam IND PK = 7.00Giants, New York NYG D = 2.00His bench players are just terrible...except at QB, so losing Brady isn't his biggest problem right now.Rivers, Philip SDC QB

Jackson, Fred BUF RB

Johnson, Rudi DET RB

Taylor, Chester MIN RB

Ginn Jr., Ted MIA WR

Williams, Reggie JAC WR

Watson, Ben NEP TE

Lindell, Rian BUF PK

Panthers, Carolina CAR D

I'm up by 25pts, we both have a player in tonight's game. He has Crosby and I have Scheffler. So, I'm going to win. I have Delhomme as my backup. Are most Brady owners going after Cassel? I haven't decided yet>

We play 2 teams per week in my 12-team ppr... If McFadden plays moderately well tonight (10-15 points) I'll squeak by with 2 wins. Talk about luck.

In my league it's either him or Pennington. While Pennington was serviceable this week, I still think Miami is a run first team. Cassel is the number 1 waiver wire guy this week in my opinion.

I'm up by 13+ and I have Vikes DST and he's got Rodgers.

Looks like I lost Burleson too for ths season. That's 2 of my top 9 picks!

Down 10 points with Ryan Grant to go. I thought I was toast given that my opponent had McNabb going but I still have an outside chance. I will have Warner and O'Sullivan as my QB's for the rest of the season.

I did beat a Brady owner in my other league.

I ended up winning by 14 and i still have my Packers, DST to go. I'm left with only Garcia as my backup,...but i've got an offer for Delhomme and Rivers out now. I should be in good shape whenever SSmith (car) comes back, but i also have Moss, which i think his #'s will take a hit. Hopefully everything will work out.

Can I play in your league? :excited: ;)
No kidding. Time to get out of the kiddie pool fellas and come sit at the grownups' table.I love mixing metaphors.Back to the issue...I literally scraped out a H2H win but losing Brady after 1/8 of a game lost me probably 5 spots in total points. Not sure how I make up for that loss in weekly production.

In my one league with Brady I won, but only because the other guy wasn't great. My backup is Favre, but I'm trying to work a trade for Cutler.

The one league had a Brady (first time ever) he was the only QB on my roster.

I won. Turner, Parker, Moss, Wayne.

I lost to the Brady owner because Braylon Edwards didn't show up, my 3 IDP starters didn't produce, I got little production out of my TE and K and most of all I foolishly started Selvin Young over Chris Johnson.
