Brady Quinn (1 Viewer)

With the Browns offense looking shaky, is a switch to Brady Quinn likey if they continue to struggle, Anderson's new contract notwithstanding?

it seems though that the Browns' woes can't just be attributed to Anderson. That if they switched to Quinn he might have the same issues.

If you're in a blind bidding WW system, and you have a free roster spot, I think this is an excellent week to throw out a $1 bid.

A long time. A ton of drops by Braylon and vs. the Ravens and Hurricane Ike in week 2? Anderson's struggles can easily be viewed as situational. I think he's need to look HORRIBLE in weeks 3 and 4 before Quinn would be thought about.

if they start 0-3 i wouldn't be surprised by a switch. they can't go 0-4 and hope to make the playoffs.

I would say that an 0-3 start would mark the end of Anderson's leash -- fair or unfair. Browns fans want Quinn, and when the team struggles and jobs are on the line, the fans usually get what they want. Especially when it's free. I don't believe the Browns will beat the Ravens in Baltimore with 2 weeks to prepare, so I foresee Quinn making a tailor-made-for-success debut against Cincy. The QB pos. in Cle has value, so now is the time to get Quinn on the cheap.

At least that's my thinking.

after the bye...

If the Browns go into the bye 0-4 then either a switch will be made before MNF against the Giants or during (if things continue to go poorly), if they win either of the next two games it would be at least week 7, if they win both it's going to be a while, if at all.

I'd agree for the most part. I don't think 0-4 will be the game though. I doubt that they would throw Quinn to the Giants on MNF. That's a lot to ask from him on his first start. I think it would be at either 0-3 and getting to start against Cinci or week 7 agains the Skins. My guess is that 0-3 isn't going to be enough for Savage to cut bait on DA. If they go 0-4 I think the wheels will be set in motion for Quinn to replace DA during the Giants game or start against the Skins. For the record, I think things will turn around and we'll end up 2-2 going into the bye and this conversation gets postponed. :hey:

I predict that Quinn will make his first start in week 8 against Baltimore. By then the Browns will probably be 2-5 at best.
