Brady's finger injury? (1 Viewer)

Things seem to be a little more suspicious than an "arm injury" which he sustained during the game on Sunday:

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, who had tape on his right ring finger in the locker room, was not present for the start of practice Thursday. Brady also didn't practice Wednesday, although it was unclear if his absence was related to his injury. Brady and wife Gisele Bundchen had their first child -- a boy -- Tuesday.

Brady was added to the Patriots' injury report last Friday with a finger injury. He was listed as probable because he was a virtual certainty to play against the Dolphins.

Brady finished 19 of 29 for 352 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions in the game.

Asked Wednesday if the Patriots changed what they did offensively to compensate for Brady's right finger injury, coach Bill Belichick said: "We didn't change much. You saw the first drive of the game [which ended with a 58-yard touchdown bomb to Randy Moss]. The plays we had, we ran. There weren't really any changes."

Brady took a big hit on his touchdown pass to Moss, and ran straight to the locker room. After the game, he wouldn't disclose why he went to the locker room. The Patriots announced he had an arm injury during the game.

ESPNBoston.com Patriots reporter Mike Reiss contributed to this report.
Anyone have any real insight into this?

I had heard Brady was out doing the baby thing. Hadn't heard much about him having a big injury problem. He had a sore finger against the Phins but he still completed almost two thirds of his passes. Guess we'll have to see what happens tomorrow after practice and how he's listed on the injury report.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- New England Patriots star Tom Brady did not practice for the second straight day Thursday, and the Patriots added a new ailment for the quarterback -- his ribs.

Brady was listed on the team's participation report as having a right finger, right shoulder and rib injury. This is the first time that it has been disclosed that Brady has a rib injury.

That may be the first official announcement, but for anyone who saw the flak jacket that he put on after the big hit on Sunday it was pretty obvious he had bruised ribs at the minimum and possibly worse.

You gave me a heart attack with the Broken Finger Title. Please change
Done.As for the other peeps going off on the "where did I get this from", am I the only Brady owner who finds it odd that Brady throws the bomb to Moss, gets an "arm injury", goes the dressing room, then proceeds to have an awful second half, with later reports surfacing about him having a finger taped? If you've ever broken a finger, you'd know that the easiest way to splint it: tape it to the adjacent finger(s).Being both a Brady and Moss owner across several leagues, heading into the first week of playoffs, I would like to get the drop on this kind of info, wouldn't you?I thought this was "The Shark Pool"?

Tom Brady (ribs, shoulder, finger) returned to Patriots practice Friday morning, as expected. It was only the media-access portion of practice, so it's too early to tell if he's participating in full. The injuries did not have a significant impact on Brady's Week 13 performance, and we fully expect him to start against the Panthers Sunday.Source: Mike Reiss on Twitter

Another update:

Tom Brady (ribs, shoulder, finger) indicated in the locker room Friday that he is not in danger of missing Sunday's game against Carolina."Don't worry about me," he assured. The Boston Globe's Albert Breer also reports that Brady "seemed OK" in his return to practice Friday. Expect Tom Terrific to start and have yet another 300+ yard passing day on Sunday.Source: Boston Globe
