Brady's suspension overturned. Playing week 1 (1 Viewer)

Wonder what Brady's ADP will be now?

I thought I had reached a little when I grabbed him in the 6th in my 6pt TD league when I kept reading about people grabbing him in the 8th in their leagues, but now I'm quite happy with it.

BOOM goes the dynamite. Suck on it, Goodell.

And with that, I have a starting QB week 1. Brady is gonna play with some fiiiiiiiire.

Looks like the late QB strategy is really good this year. Get either Bradford, Brady or both. Getting one of the those late can give you an advantage if you load up on RB/WR.

Exactly! Is he a number 3-4 overall fantasy QB behind Luck, Rodgers...and what about Peyton? Is this where he goes now?
Last two seasons he's been QB13 and QB8 in standard scoring. Are we going with the "Tom will run it up" angle for putting him back into the Top 5 this season? He's a great starter at the price point, but I don't see him finishing top 3-4 this year.

I think this benefits everyone else in the offense more than Brady himself.

Reached for him at 7.3 in a 10 teamer. I'm pretty satisfied with the value here.
Brady went in the 10th in my last draft, if seemed like recently his ADP had fallen. All along a combo QB strategy of getting Brady and another QB even if not a top 10 one like Rivers was viable. Bradford health was the issue but if you pair him up with another QB you probably have a QB that has a good chance to be top 10 in Philly's offense.

Whats the point of the NFL even giving out suspensions any more? NFLPA can just go crying to the courts and get it overturned for some reason or another.

It like telling your parents they can decide if you get to eat cake if they give you a $10 allowance but when they say you can't eat cake for the next 4 weeks because of X reason you go to social services to say its a crime and that you never did X.

you just defined child abuse in this day and age

Brady's going to have an epic season.
I think he will be good but anyone thinking he will duplicate what happened after spygate is fooling themselves. Yea he is pissed but he is pissed without Moss, Welker..etc in their prime. This cast of receivers isn't on the same level of that crazy year.

LOL at the NFL being "losers" in all this. They will probably break the ratings record for TNF. And just for the record I predicted at the time of the suspension that he would be playing week 1.

It was because the suspension was dumb. Jay Feely testified for Brady since the same thing happened to him and he didn't even get investigated. Kind of like Ray Rice getting a two game suspension and then after the videotape leaks (that they either knew about or should have) and they up the suspension in reaction to the bad press.

NFLPA didn't cry about Josh Gordon or Blackmon or Bryant because those roles are in the CBA. According to the rules, the Brady suspension was ridiculous (almost all players have said so as well) and that is why the Judge ruled that way. Simple as that.

Normally I would agree but this has been so nasty that I think the Patriots might be ready to break it off in some teams this year.

NFL is fine. Goodell looks bad because this is another one of those arbitrary rulings. Fans still love the NFL.

Ahem....Gronk. Brady can hit 48Tds in this era of passing with what he has in Gronk and the others.

We'll see...in my opinion, I will be happy if he replicates last year which was 33 tds. I think he had like close to 50 after spygate. I agree there is no way that happens.

From a ff perspective, most of us are just happy we got what would have been a 3rd round for a big discount.

Neither of those guys is going to go late.

The strategy now is to let people reach for Bradford based on preseason, knowing that they're also paying a premium to take on the inherent risk of an immobile QB with a history of catastrophic injuries...and to let people reach on Brady based on name value, knowing that it'll be extremely unlikely he returns value commensurate with the cost.

I don't think either will be bad, but I don't think either brings any kind of value any longer. More like, "props if you gambled and won the ADP sweepstakes, if you got either guy at a discount in an early draft."

No way in hell he steps down. He's making too much money.
You'd have to fire me from a job that paid $44 million a year.
Hence the quotes around "step down" in my post. He has given the NFL multiple nblack eyes and horrible publicity for a solid year now on top of plenty of previous stuff. At some point you have to figure the owners will have had enough and decide that the NFL product sells itself better than Goodell does right now and that he can be replaced.

Have to wonder if dragging it out till from January till the week before the season starts was intentional.

Wow! Got Brady at 12th pick of round 8 in a 12 team league.

Now all I need is Foster to come back sooner than expected

No. Brady and Bradford were recently going late, at least Bradford. I have done drafts. Bradford could have been drafted in the 11th, 12th, even 13th rounds several weeks ago. Most people were not that comfortable with him as their starter.

Of course it is different now. I did not say you could get them at value now. It is different because of the hype on Bradford but he probably still goes after the Stafford, Eli, Tannehill group or at the earliest when those guys go. People were generally taking Eli, Stafford and Tannehill before Brady recently.

Ratings on fire! I wonder if we'll have a scoring feast from both sides? NE 37 PIT 34

Congrats for winning the dumbest analogy in the history of the universe award.

Goodell is a terd.

Now I wish Snyder had fought him on the ridiculous $36 million cap penalty he stuck the Redskins with for violating the "spirit" of the rules.

He's already had epic seasons and in my opinion would have played with more of a chip on his shoulder if the ban would not have been lifted. If anything, it now motivates other teams, opens the door for ridiculous questions all season long by media if he does end up doing well.

This whole thing has been such a joke, even more so than the pass call by Seattle at the goaline.
