Bragging, venting, crowing, grieving... (3 Viewers)

Must win to get in the playoffs and have Lamar Miller and Evans going.  This game is just a waste of time.

Don't know why I keep starting Diggs. Trading him in the off season. I'm done

High score of the week, moved into third place 

Quite unexpectedly might win the points title - was 2nd (-55), up 74 with my Bell v. his Green

Still managed badly enough to finish 9-4

 
Was 2-6, gave up on the season. Traded a bunch of players for a 9th round keeper... kamara

The rest is history as I won 5 in a row winning high score 3 times and 2nd high twice and now I'm in the playoffs.

Yup I also started 2-6 and won 5 in a row to get in (with high score 2 or 3 times in that span).  Although I didn't make any trades - just some good pickups.

But in my other league, I was in very good shape going into tonight's game with Wentz, Ertz and Philly D.  Now I'm thinking that I may miss out on the playoffs.

 
Wow. I may get a crucial bye for me in a 12-teamer. Started Tyreek Hill. 30.5 points today. Picked up Rodgers off the wire weeks ago when they'd declared his season over and he was limited practice Saturday. If I get a bye, I'm starting Rodgers, Bell, Mixon, Hill, Thielen, Gordon or Morris, Brate, K, D/ST in Wk 15. If I can slip by Wk 15, I get Elliott back for the championship. 

Loving this hobby right now.  

 
mike evans/brandin cooks - no shows, yikes. need AB to play and outscore AJ Green by 4.7 pts  :unsure:  or else i drop from #1 to #3 seed losing a bye

May end up surviving this thanks to Russel :wub:  and Kearse, and him starting Coleman for a goose-egg.  Just need the Stillers to keep AJG under ~18 tonight (no PPR).

 
Sat Brown for Paul Richardson in an FFPC Championship game if Brown scores 19 pts I would have won.  I thought with Ertz, Baldwin and Richardson left needing 29 pts more than McKissic that was the safe way to go didn't want to end up down 2 pts with Brown left and him not play.

Been playing since 1990 always seems I am still learning the hard way.

 
Down 14 points going into last night's game with my opponent having no one left and me having Ertz, Mixon and Chris Boswell.  Was feeling pretty good.

I'm down to Boswell now since Ertz and Mixon both went down with concussions.  What were the ####### odds of that happening?  I must have pissed off the FF Gods.

? Keenan and AJ owner in my main dynasty. Also have smith since Luck was hurt. Now just need Tampa to just use Evans like they should and I might actually have a chance to win this year

88% chance to move into 2nd Place & a bye.

Lead the season points title by 10.09 - my Bell against his Green with 20 minutes left (Steelers about to get the ball back down by 10.)

 
Missed the playoffs because Bell lost 1 yard on the last carry of the game. Turned a .06 playoff berth into a .04 end to the season. Ouch. 

 
My season is now over in one league.  Got beat in the first round of our playoffs all due to the late TD pass to AB last night.  If Ben throws that TD pass to anyone else, I win and move on.

 
10-3 with a bye and $450 richer for division and points champion in my 12-teamer even after I made a bonehead trade sending Kamara away early season.

Loved steamrolling my high school buddies, 18th year for the league.

Brady,Bell,Zeke,Freeman,Gronk oh my!

Just went from 8th to 5th and in the playoffs last night. What a crazy year. 

 
14 team league that's been active winner take all $100 buy in since 2004.  i've never missed the playoffs.  my keeper was DJ.  such a brutal year

 
made the playoffs in both my money leagues.  got a bye in one but have to play this week in the other. let the real games begin

 
Defending champ in my main league for the first time this year and I think I'm putting in a very strong title defence. Was initially sceptical after the draft but some of the bold calls I made seemed to have panned out. 

Took AJ Green and Brandon Cooks at the turn as was very bullish on Cooks this year. They have both remained fit and provided a very strong 1-2 punch at WR. Went against the grain at the end of the 3rd and grabbed Brady. Was bullish on Graham this year so he was nabbed in the fifth. These players have provided a strong backbone this year. Allied with landing on Zuerlein and the Jags early into the season at the base of my team has meant me being solid almost every week. Marquis Lee and Josh Gordon sit in reserve in case of emergencies.  

The only area of fear was at RB, where CJ Anderson did not pan out. Martin was meant to be the mid round gem but didn't do ####. Luckily this area has become a strength due to getting Kamara early into the season and using a mix of Martin, McKinnon, Collins and Morris as the season has progressed. 

Was 4-5 down but rode a great spell of form to end on 8-5 and be top scorer in the league. 

Massive favourite for the first round of the playoffs, but as we know, this is where you need a little luck when you reach the knockout phase so could just as easily be launched out unceremoniously next week. 

Know nobody cares, but sometimes it's just good to record down these thoughts for your own posterity and post season self review.

This season has been the biggest turnaround I've ever engineered.

I spent $80 of a $200 budget on draft day on David Johnson, who as we all know, went out for the season in the first half of the first game.  By the end of week 6, I hated my team probably more than any I've ever had.  But I've managed to retool cheaply and luckily through the FAAB weekly draft and now I think it's stronger than just about any team I've ever had going into the playoffs.

Here's the starting team as ranked by the Football Guys projections using our scoring system for the rest of the season:

   +  RB1 Kumara (#1), RB2 Perine (#13), RB2 Burkhead (#19)

   +  WR1s HILL (#8), Funchess (#9), Anderson (#10)

   +  QB1 Stafford (#5), TE1 ERTZ (#6), PK1 Butker (#6), TD1 Chargers (#4), TD1 Bills (#6), and IDP1 KUECHLY(#1)

The three guys in CAPS are the only ones I got on draft day and I let Kuechly go after his concussion and picked him back up last week.  Everyone else I got for free or a dollar except for spending $18 FAAB on Buck Allen and trading him straight up for Funchess for week 5. Kumara I got for free on Friday after week 1 when I read that he played the most snaps in the Saints backfield.

Here's hoping the FBG rankings prove out!

Proactive vent - play in two leagues where I am the #2 seed with 8 teams making the playoffs in each.  In both of those leagues I face Kamara (with a banged up Ingram), Kenyan Drake and Case Keenum.  All 3 waiver wire darlings - all 3 on two different teams in two different leagues with the common denominator I face them in round 1 of the playoffs.  God I hope Cinderella's coach turns into a pumpkin this week.

 
I just have this feeling I am going to lose in the first round due to Gronk being suspended.  My backup TE is Jared Cook and in this league, waivers are shut down for the playoffs.

Love Gronk when he's tearing it up, but what a dope.

 
Of course I face the team that always beats me. He has the Tom Brady/Brandin Cooks combo so expect fire works and he also has Hunt vs OAK so expect an emergence.

However my opponent has the most projected points. 

Then again Yahoo has been #### as far as projections this year so...

Yahoo is the worst at projecting.

 
Had a bye week for my IDP dyno league until this morning when a stat change turned a 0.15 win for a VP turned into a 0.60 loss for a VP.......now I play this week with Gronk out and Mixon likely out.
