Brandon Gibson #11 6'1" 210 and nice redzone presence. i look for his production to pickup with all the WR core of the rams injured or yeah injured. im sure he is on your waiver wire or free agent pool. pure speculation here and im not telling you to run out and play this guy this week but i like his potential.

WR: Laurent Robinson (inj), Danny Amendola (PR/KR), Mardy Gilyard (KR) (inj), Danario Alexander, Brandon Gibson, Mark Clayton (IR), Donnie Avery (IR), Dominique Curry (IR)

mainly just a process of elimination here but even before all the injuries gibson was poking his head out like a shiny nickle

:goodposting:

I don't think there is enough skill at WR to dominate the attention of Bradford. Bradford spreads the ball around and he's just not putting up enough numbers to justify starting a WR too often. Amendola is your best bet because he gets you fantasy points in return leagues.

Isn't Gilyard better? He looked great at Cincy, a real game breaker.
He hasn't done anything to get on Spags good side. He is not doing what it takes to be a pro and when he actually sees the field I almost feel embarrassed for him since he is so lost.
Yep, has trouble lining up correctly or running correct routes.Gibson has had plenty of opportunity due to Avery's injury last year, and throughout this year. He has taken that and done nothing with it. I don't expect it to change anytime soon - seems to be a less-than-50% completion guy no matter who the QB is.Interesting article on Bradford this week that detailed how rarely he throws it beyond 15 yards. In fact, he often hits his WR short of the down marker, and relies on YAC. That was often his M.O. in college as well. Given that the coaching staff is game planning that way (and have all year from I understand), I think little Danny continues to be the only WR3 candidate (fantasy wise) in the Rams receiving corps.

Hoomanawanui?

Gibson seems like a natural, but (a) I wonder if whoever gets the targets doesn't get the TD's because of DA & Hoomanawanui, and (b) I wonder if Bradford doesn't stick with teh reliable targets he has rapport with, which at this point is Hoomanawanui and DA.

Biggest disappointment: Laurent Robinson, he should have been the answer all along, but it's always the injury bug with that guy.

Where 6-67-0 ranked on a Weekly basis among WRs:

1 - 37th

2 - 42nd

3 - 37th

4 - 25th

5 - 31st

6 - 41st

7 - 33rd

Average = 35.14

Should be a little better this week, seems like offensive output is down today.

bobby i am sorry i thought you were being facetious
Its cool.I kind of agree with your earlier analysis - process of elimination, they chuck it about 38-39 times a game, somebody healthy has to be productive.I've been down on Gibson because he didn't do much with his opportunity last year, and dropped a few this year. But if Amendola is strictly slants from the slot and bubble screens, would make sense Gibson will be somewhat productive given Gilyard is a bit lost (and/or not healthy). Its an odd passing attack because they never, ever go vertical. When they get a lead, they seem to really go into a shell (couple times this year they have played with a lead they do nothing but run). Lots of short passes to TEs but not to RBs.Would love to hear what homers who watch them every week think.

Didn't see the game but read that his other two targets (he got 7 of 9 targets) could've been nice deep TDs but were just barely over thrown.

Is this guy on the verge of breaking out?

I really need a WR3 with Randy Moss not even worthy of WR3 status these days and I'm looking at...

Brandon Gibson vs. Louis Murphy (someone dropped the Raiders receiver)

Who's picking up Gibson and what r u expecting?

I'm thinking Gibson might be a good pickup for owners needing some WR help through the end of the season, such as Nicks owners.

over the last 3 games, he is averaging 8.7 targets, and the rest of the Rams' schedule includes some good passing matchups:

@ DEN (#19 pass defense)

@ ARI (#27 pass D)

@ NO (#2 pass D, but might need to air it out to keep pace)

KC (#25 pass D)

SF (#17 pass D)

@ SEA (#30 pass D)

anybody else on board with this?

I don't disagree, but isn't Danario Alexander supposed to be back soon. They may give him some more looks as well after his solid debut.

With my WR's being Nicks, Marshall, Tampa Mike, Crabtree - Gibson is a perfect guy for my team in a PPR league.

I always liked Gibson when he was on Philly. The Eagles really liked him as well just couldn't find a roster space for him with all the WR talent already there.

Not to hijack this thread but what about Blair White? Would he be a better pickup for Nick owners?
If Collie misses any more time, I think White is a great pick up. I do like Gibson as well for depth purposes given the targets he is seeing. Hell, anyone who can suit up on Sundays is looking like a good option at this point.

And Laurent Robinson looks to be (gasp!) getting healthy, he saw targets yesterday and did okay. Could be a lot of mouths to feed with different guys standing out each week, except Amendola, who seems to get his regardless.
