Brandon Jackson (1 Viewer)

Man, it's sad some of the trades that have gone through for BJax recently. These people should be ashamed of themselves (on both sides of the trades...)

You can just ignore the trades posted on that site, very few that I've seen are anywhere close to reasonable. Just look at any other player page. I think the trade list includes free leagues so obviously there's no oversight and most likely outright collusion or owners that simply don't know or care what they're doing.

Twelve team, small money league but with great owners, Jackson went for $825 last night (on a $1200 yearly budget)

Althought there are very few leagues where he is available I would expect that some RB poor teams in WCOFF (12 team PPR with Flex) will spend over $900 to get him

The only reason to spend so much is that you have a team where everything else is solid and you desperately need a running back (AND can live with making minimal moves for the balance of the year)

I just checked my waiver wire in my 10 team, redraft money league, and I got Brandon Jackson. I didn't exactly need BJax. My RBs are MJD + Jennings, P. Thomas, J. Best, A. Bradshaw, & M. Barber. However, I did have a roster spot open up due to placing M. Stafford in one of my IR roster slots. I finally decided to make a $50 bid (out of $100 with free pickups after Thursday). I didn't think I would get him, but it is definitely a pleasant surprise. I still have 1/2 my FAAB to work with, too.

The TD helped, but 11 rushes for 29 yards rushing against the Bills in a blowout is hardly the kind of thing 100% of your FAAB dollars was hoping for this week. :towelwave: Kuhn had 9 rushes (just two less) and did more with them to boot.

yep certainly disappointing. looks like those who didnt go all in were right. oh well. fantasy is all about taking risks

Yes...couldn't have been a less impressive performance. If that's what he's going to do in blowout weeks against terrible run defenses...

He looked like Brandon Jackson. He's a plodder who can't make defenders miss and can't gain yards after contact. If you're a Jackson owner just hope Thompson wasn't so impressed with Lynch today he goes against his nature and invests heavily in a trade.

Yep, somewhere I said BJ was not a good runner at all ( I had him 3 yrs ago as a rookie when him and Grant competed for Green's job). Wasn't great then, isn't great now. I think he is ok for 50-60 rushing yds a week, with the occasional TD, but that's it

I like being a packer fan saying over and over that Brandon Jackson isn't very good and having others who have never seen him play say he is going to be awesome. He still runs hesitant and nevers plays at a very fast game speed. He is a quality blocker and has plus hands ... that is about it. Kuhn better by comparison (not as fast but runs hard and reckless).

One of my leagues has BB, $3 minimum but there's no annual budget. If someone wants to spend $300 during the year on FA's, and increase the payout pool, they can.He is definitely going to break whatever the previous record was for a FA bid.
FWIW, he wound up going for $67 real dollars, highest price ever paid for a FA pickup in that league.

Brandon Jacobs anyone? Would look nice in green n yellow...

Assuming the Pack don't sign anyone, Jackson will be an ideal #3, acceptable #2 week-in/week-out, as he will get 20 touches or so, and opportunity is everything...however, I'd be shopping him hard...someone may bite, as I see the Pack looking elsewhere very soon...

Go back and search posts when he was coming in as a rookie. I was saying back then he wasn't a good NFL caliber RB, and as usual got ripped for it. Well, now he's had a few years and it's pretty clear he's not a good NFL caliber RB.
