It could be either one at this point, but I think Brandon Jones has shown more.
Post again on tuesday, I think perception right now is jaded with all of the Brandon Jones owners holding out some hope they got a late round steel. Williams will gain over a thousand yards and 8 TD's this year. Watching TENN this weekend Williams looked as good catching and making plays as Ive seen from a WR in years. He will start this weekend and I believe now is the last chance to grab him off the wire.

Jaded? I don't know about you but I am basing my analysis upon more than the "hope they got a late round steel" [sic]. Also basing it upon more than one TD reception.Over three years:B. Jones, 56/746/6 TD (3 TDs in last 6 weeks of 06)Roydell: 33/492/3 TDsSo far in 2007?B. Jones has more targets and more receptions; Roydell had none in the first week. What he does have is a fine TD reception but that hardly means he is the WR1. Sorry, but he needs to become a starter before he can become the featured Wr.

wow.. it even right now... counting targets from last weeks game beginning in the 3rd Q, when Tenn was down 19 too 6 and VY was tossing the ball...

B Jones had 5 Targets (3 of them on the final drive)

R Williams had 3 Targets (only one per drive) and had a TD

so far... that indicates that Jones is still the primiary.... I agree; one of these guys is good for a 100 yd day, just not sure which one.

I just can't see any Titan WR hitting these numbers this year.

Totally agree... someone needs to step up this year and become the prime target... then we'll talk about a 1000 yd season.900 yds is a ceiling for one of these guys, 800 and change is more probable with the other one in the high 600. I could see both of them putting up similar TD #s, like 6.Personally... I own both guys... I'm benching Jones for Williams as a #4.. RW should be lined up oppisite too David.

I dont know about your projections, but Williams was clearly the better reciever this past Sunday. Jones dropped a catchable pass that would have put the Titans in field goal range.

whoes? put an R in there and this thread may turn interesting.Seems to me it will be close to even on the year, but Roydell is looking like the better WR right now.

It doesn't matter they have Vince Young throwing to them.
You mean the VY that has a 62.2% completion percentage? The one that has a higher rating than McNabb, Brees, Rivers, Losman, Campbell, and Leinart? Maybe the one with a higher completion % than Big Ben, Romo, Leinart, Bulger, and McNabb? Or, you could be the one that bounced it off both hands of his #1 WR on 3rd and 4 at end of the game. :goodposting:

Thanks for the props on VY. I don't understand the negativity myself. He is a GREAT leader (see the way he handled McNabb questions), also a very accurate passer. I watch all the games obviously as I live in Nashville. Everyone watch him on Monday night and you will stop dogging him. He is accurate and strong in passing. He does not deserve the hate.

I'm talking about the Vince Young that is putting up a whopping 131 yards a game.

Just because his team is leading the NFL in rushing and the team has only had 45 total pass plays this year isn't a negative reflection on his ability as a passer.

The question is who is the #1 receiver for Tennesse. All we have to go on is last year and the two games this year. I haven't seen anything to indicate that it really matters who the #1 is with Vince Young at the helm. There is a very good chance that the Titans are going to be forced to be a running team out of neccessity. That is my opinion and I am more than welcome to voice it. I understand there are many who disagree. I would have to assume the original question was designed to get feed back for fantasy purposes and my advice is to look elsewhere for production.

More like who should I pick as my 6th receiver. Should I pick the number 1 receiver from the Titans Williams or Jones? Who do you think out of those 2 players will have more end arounds? Seriously pick a player off of the Lions developmental squad.

Brandon Jones: Leading the Team w/ 11 Targets / 6 recs for 63 [ 54 ] [50.47%]

Roydell Williams: 6 Targets / 4 recs for 72 yds w/ a TD [ 53 ] [49.53%]

wow... right down the middle

Vince Young is showing respectable field vision and throws to the open man. Tough to predict on a weekly basis considering db matchups. Brightside is VY's passing is improving. There were 4-5 catchable balls that were tipped or dropped. VY also may have slightly thrown behind his guys.

Just to throw it out there.....i can't do it. Neither really stands out. Roydell did fight for his TD breaking tackles. Bjones caught his in the endzone becuz VY bootlegged right.

Roydell seemed to be the better athlete.

Actually, that was B.Jones who fought for his TD and was breaking tackles. Bo Scaife caught his in the endzone when Vince bootlegged and all the defenders followed him and left Scaife open. Roydell did not have a TD last night.
