Brandon Marshall- is he a sell high candidate? (1 Viewer)

After watching last nights game I am starting to wonder. The Dolphins have a tough pass schedule coming up, and unless you get a first round playoff bye a trip to warm and hospitable "Revis island" greets him in week 14. He is being double and triple covered and teams seem content to let Bess catch 8-10 passes as well as Hartline/Fasano. His big game was literally single coverage against Jets Cromartie- I think coach's saw the film and will be hesitant to allow that again. In addition, his QB is mediocre and Thigpen may not be an upgrade- I think he is missing Orton about now. Lastly, his conditioning has been called into queston by several sources- is it just the Miami heat or more?

I know the pat response is "he will be fine", he is a beast but I feel these are legitimate concerns moving forward

Is Marshall a sell high candidate?

Marshall was open plenty of times last night, but didn't receive the ball. Who knows why. I wouldn't worry about it.

Marshall is a beast and they will try to get him the ball every play. Everyone is tradable to me, but what will you get in return? He is a top tier WR, I want this guy on my team.

How do you figure they will try to get him the ball "every play"? They had no interest in using that strategy last night.

Ok...sorry for being extreme. Not EVERY play, they still have others on the team. But he has 45 targets in 4 weeks of football...that isn't good enough for you? They are not ignoring him and he has the skillset to make big plays. Listen, if you want to trade him go ahead. I am just giving my opinion.

I would agree. As long as the targets are there, its not time to panic. I know last night's game looked bad but you have to remember its probably resonating more with you because its the only game on and its getting a lot of attention.I look at it this way: I know he is one of the best WRs in football (and FF). He's not tearing the league up last night, but just a week ago, he did. I look around at other "stud" Wrs and see if they had a down week. Wayne Had one. Moss had one big time last night. Miles Austin and AJ had one. I try not to get caught up in the schedule and try predicting those things because they always seem to fool you. A couple of weeks ago I would not have thought Hillis would run all over Baltimore. I would have thought Chris Johnson WOULD have run all over Denver. You just never know and a lot could change between now and week 14.Basically, its a down game but I wouldn't be ready to say its indicative of what his season will be.

Exactly. An NFL defense can shut down any WR if they want to. Every WR has a few clunkers in a year, no matter how good they are.Marshall is a stud.
