Both of these guys have flourished with weak-armed Shaun Hill at the helm. With 30 targets apiece, they are both currently among the league leaders at TE. But Stafford's return is looming albeit not likely before Week 8. Once this offense gets Stafford's NFL-arm back in action, one or both of these TEs figure to give up some of those targets to the WRs. Scheffler seemed to get off to a better start than Pettigrew with Stafford week 1, but Pettigrew clearly had a solid connection with Stafford last season. So that begs the question as to which one of these guys manages to hold onto more of his value going forward? Any thoughts?

It's a tough call, because they're both playing so well right now. Scheffler is a better option to stretch the field, and I think he's the red zone target. Pettigrew looks more like a check down.

When the Eagles played the Lions in Week 2, the first week Pettigrew blew up, They put a DB on Scheffler, with Burleson out, and as a result, Hill kept checking down to Pettigrew.

My guess is that Scheffler is the one you want long-term. When Burleson gets back out there, it'll open up the middle of the field for him on mid-range passes from Stafford.

Pettigrew probably loses value unless he emerges as a red zone target in the next few weeks.

But for now, they're both startable. Against the Rams this week, I wouldn't hesitate to put either in.
