Beautifully timed out. Such a nonchalant approach so as not to alert others to his intent.
Oh, I would toss him for a minimum of two games. If heat of combat on the field can generate one game suspensions for unnecessary roughness, then calculated unnecesary roughness ought to start at two games or more.
And TOTALLY premeditated.
At least an argument can be made for Alosi's getting carried away in his roll as part of the wall. Brayton? Uh, not so much.
Well, by a Jets fan, anyway.

This should have been at least as big a fine & suspension as anything given to Alosi, although on significant difference is the Jets team issued the punishment for Alosi and the league dealt the punishment for Brayton.
What this really says to me is that NFL punishment is mostly doled out in direct relation to the media attention given to a particular play. If this was the Jets - Pats game, the BAL/PIT game, or any number of big name teams, the video of the incident would have been all over SportsCenter and the fine ( and probably suspension, too ) would have been much bigger. Visibility of the infractions plays a role in the size of the penalty, when it comes to the NFL.
