Brees/Carr (1 Viewer)

Carolina plays @ Saints this weekend. Both defenses SUCK, and here's why:

1. Carolina puts almost no pressure on the opposing QB.....2 sacks this year

2. New Orleans puts NO pressure on the opposing QB......0 sacks this year

3. Carolina has 0 yes 0 INT's this year....

4. New Orleans has 1 INT this year......

For these reasons alone I look for Brees to get back on track.

However (being the Panther homer that I am) I have NO FAITH in David Carr this week. I watched the entire painful game last week. David is absolutley in fear for his life every time the ball is hiked. I would rather have Chris Weinke back there, and that's a scary statment in itself.

Bump for the lunch crowd.

I don't think anyone would argue with what you're saying. carr is surprisingly bad but maybe a week with the 1st team offense will help. the panthers have been found lacking on both sides of the ball. the saints, similarly, have struggled. i think the saints have an edge over the Carr-led Panthers. The Saints are desperate for a win. The team has had a bye week to prepare.

It'll be a shootout, I think. Lots of turnovers for both teams too.

I know Carr looked bad... But, I keep thinking about the Joey Harrington turn around. Supposedly the Panthers had some big private meeting and they want to turn it around. Maybe Carr will watch the game tape and pull it together more. I hope so.

I hope you both are right. Mike Minter recently said that he was suprised by Carr's lack of ability in mini camp and the week and a half he had with him in spring training.

One of the problems the Panthers are having right now is no team leader has stepped on the field since Minter retired.

Nobody on offense has taken a leadership role either.

While I certainly hope the Panthers right the ship......I don't feel good about this game at all.

Wow, a defence that doesn't get sacks vs David Carr.I think it's possible that the Panther's first offensive play of the game could last an entire quarter. Just Carr holding the ball indefinitely, pump-faking occasionally, while the Saints circle him but don't get near him.
