Deeper into the article, they speculated that he might have the 75% even if he doesn't play, but he wants to be sure. That could impact a lot of fantasy owners who have held onto Michael Okwo and/or Jamar Williams, not to mention Briggs himself.

I'm pretty certain he's already got the 75% based on the quote shown below from KFFL.

He was injured earlier in the year in game 3, missed game 4 and came right back for game 5.

75% would be missing about four games, so he should be in good shape, although it will be close if he misses games 16 and 17.
