(Rotoworld) Beat writer Mike Klis believes the Broncos were trying to motivate Mike Bell by having Cecil Sapp run ahead of him at minicamps.

Impact: Klis expects Bell will match his 2007 rushing stat line (677-4.3-8) and could be used in a Marion Barber-like role, "especially near the goal line." The Broncos were very impressed by Bell's short-yardage efficiency as a rookie, but Barber-like numbers are unrealistic.

i think nothing of the sort..matter of fact i am really thinking this will be Henrys year to get 25 touches a game and Shanny will ride him like he did TD....Bell will play every forth series but i doubt will come in on the goal line always...Watch for Henry to go for 1500 and 15 this year..Bell or not.

It always worries me when a player needs 'motivation' by being demoted in the depth charts under lesser players. If a player needs this type of motivation it really makes me wonder just how good of a player he can really be.

I'll target players that work hard on their own to move up the depth charts.

Don't suppose you like Frank Gore at all??? You do?!!! And what exactly happened to him last year after he fumbled a couple of times?? What, something like 1200 more yards and now the #4 rated player in FF....Players fumble and QBs throw picks and others miss their assignments.... and besides, Henry didn't have his fumble issues last year and I don't see why he will this year.He WILL be the Man in Denver this year. Mike Bell has potential but serves only as a backup with Henry making 12 million in guaranteed money.

I'd say this is about as far fetched as it can get. Talk about speculation....let's see - give Bell the 15TD's like Barber - just because we think Henry's 12 million is only good between the 20's....c'mon, let's get real here.

I swear that I read somewhere that M Bell had more sy carries for loss than anyone in the league. I will try to find that info, but an anyone else verify this? Bell taking GL carries from Henry is bs. Henry is a mound of muscle, and is as good as anyone at sy carries.
