A big part of him playing better is that Weeden has made some throws and that delay only works if the defense buys the pass fake.Shurmur was actually able to get into a rythmn calling plays and kept them off balance so it was a great individual effort but was set-up by Weeden making throws which allowed Shurmur to get into a play calling rythmn which put the Bengal defenders back on their heels for just enough time to make the call work. Basically a good all around effort which allowed him to make the play.

No doubt improvement by Weeden is a big help, but I think Richardson himself looks better. That should be expected I guess. I really liked the balls Weeden completed over the middle where the receiver didn't have to break stride at all. That's the way the WCO is supposed to work. Too bad Chris O fumbled one after a big gain.
