Browns Wednesday injury report, RB Droughns questionable

The Browns will likely be without two defensive starters, and two more are questionable for Sunday's game against Baltimore.

Gary Baxter (pectoral) and Orpheus Roye (shoulder) will be doubtful, Browns coach Romeo Crennel said Wednesday. Willie McGinest (calf) and Brian Russell (elbow) will be questionable.

Starting running back Reuben Droughns (shoulder) is also questionable.

Crennel said the Browns will also list Nick Eason (ankle) as out, Joe Jurevicius (ribs) as doubtful and Darnell Dinkins (hamstring) as doubtful.

Crennel said Baxter's injury isn't a season-ending injury, but is especially tough for the secondary. Daylon McCutcheon (knee) was placed on injured-reserve Tuesday, and the Browns have just four healthy cornerbacks on their roster.

The Browns return to the practice field Wednesday afternoon and will release their official injury report following practice. Stay tuned to ClevelandBrowns.com for more updates.

Harrison is listed as 2nd on the depth chart, but I am very interested in anyone knows different!
Bob Henry's depth chart has Wright listed 2nd with Harrison as the 3rd down back.If Droughns misses Sunday, I would think we would see a RBBC with Wright and Harrison, and against Baltimore I don't think either would have much value. If something happened long-term to Droughns, my best guess would be that it starts out RBBC with Harrison taking over at some point. But what do I know?

This may be a situation where there is no clear backup to Droughns. Any one of them could wind up being the backup and getting the start against the Ravens, but there's no guarantee whichever one it is won't get a quick demotion if he fails to produce.

I wouldn't leave Vickers out of the picture.

William Green is still a possibility down the road, once the Browns are cleared to resign him. I believe according to league rules the Browns must wait x weeks before resigning a player that they agreed to an injury settlement with.

Accoring to this report ClevelandBrowns.com its 10 weeks from the time he was released.

The series that Droughns was out, Wright came in. They have similar running styles also so my money is on Wright for 1st and 2nd downs.Harrison will see significant time also on 3rd down and change of pace duties.

Yah...I thought it was a mistake to cut William Green loose. It looks like they need him now.

Doesn't matter if Droughns, Harrison, Vickers, Green, Wright or even Jim Brown plays this weekend....they are playing the Ravens and Cleveland's OL sucks

i agree, but even though we haven't heard much about him, they really like Wright.and obviously, Harrison showed he has some potential in the preseason.

definitely a rbbc, with some Vickers too like you said.

Looking back, it seems like Droughns has looked sluggish ever since it became clear that he was not only the guy, but that Suggs and Green were going to be off the team. Droughns has no-one pushing him for that job, unlike last year. That worries me.

definately RBBC with Droughs out! Wright, Harrison and Vickers will all share carries.

I'm hoping for a good game from Harrison and maybe I can pawn him off to the Droughns owner for a 1st rounder next year.
