Roster cutdown time and Kehl is on the bubble. This thread back in June had me pumped about his prospects but I haven't heard anything since then:

Unfortunately, I haven't seen the kid play this preseason. Anyone have any insight as to how he's looked? Does he have 3-down potential?

I think he could have some long-term potential, although I wouldn't necessarily consider him elite or anything. He looked pretty good in the limited time I saw him. One other factor is that the Giants aren't exactly loaded with high quality LBs, so it's not like he has studs to beat out down the road.
