Brown is the handcuff to McCoy. If McCoy goes down, Brown is the lead back and the choice in PPR. Karlos Williams is the power back, could get some goal line carries.
I disagree. I think they view Karlos Williams as the backup to McCoy.Brown is the handcuff to McCoy. If McCoy goes down, Brown is the lead back and the choice in PPR. Karlos Williams is the power back, could get some goal line carries.
Me too - I think Karlos Williams is a big, big reason Fred Jackson is looking for work. Fred's contract and age didn't help, but they seem enamored with Karlos.I disagree. We all know the guy has talent with the rock in his hands... apparently he's been holding onto it a lot more too.Howard WGR @hsimon62 3h3 hours ago
got a tweet to check bryce brown's fumble stats so: in his rookie yr(2012) 4 fumbles/115 carries. last 2 yrs 1 fumble/111 carries.
I don't know that. He looked average at best last year.Interesting...

I agree with Karlos for the season as McCoy's likely handcuff, but what are people doing about week 1. I bought into Brown as the Week 1 back up, any chance it's Karlos with the amount of time he has missed?I think Karlos Williams showed a lot more than people expected. I would say he is the guy to handcuff if you are doing it.
No way to know for sure, but Karlos might miss Week 1 himself. I think Bryce would be the better bet in PPR.I agree with Karlos for the season as McCoy's likely handcuff, but what are people doing about week 1. So my question is....who is the back to own if you want to spot start a Buffalo RB in week 1 or possibly even 2?
Bryce Brown
Karlos Williams

.@mikerodak was on the pod the other day. Karlos Williams long term but if Shady can't go in Week 1, he thinks Bryce Brown gets call.
Agree for dynasty purposes, but definitely not for redraft. At best, Karlos may become the backup towards the end of the season, and that is if he stays healthy and shines in likely very limited opportunities.I disagree. Right up the same page...If Bryce can keep from fumbling he's the handcuff. Big if though.....
Interesting...

Yeah I agree. It's a terrible decision by a team that routinely makes terrible decisions so no real surprise.Karlos is the #2 behind McCoy
not really, Karlos is better and probably doesn't fumble as muchYeah I agree. It's a terrible decision by a team that routinely makes terrible decisions so no real surprise.Karlos is the #2 behind McCoy
he was the 4th best RB on the team and didn't play any special teams. easy decision. he was lucky to make the final roster.Yeah I agree. It's a terrible decision by a team that routinely makes terrible decisions so no real surprise.Karlos is the #2 behind McCoy
I am sure his fourth fifth coaching staff will fall in love with him.i'm glad to see this happen. maybe he will land somewhere he can get some play time and turn things around. i've always held out hope for him.
http://www.wkbw.com/sports/bills/bills-release-bryce-brownHe showed his most promise in a regular season game against Kansas City, but he had a fumble on the goal line that shifted the game, allowing the Chiefs to come away victorious.

In honor of Bryce Brown being cut from Bills today, I'd like to present the play I'll always remember him by at KSU.
Philly got a 4th for Brown, then traded a 5th to get Sproles. That's amazing, someone in that front office deserves a bonus.and...cut![]()

Bills release RB Bryce Brown
Posted by Chris Brown on September 15, 2015 – 4:25 pm
The Bills had to make room on their 53-man roster Tuesday with Marcell Dareus being activated off the reserve suspended list. Buffalo decided to release one of their running backs.
Buffalo released RB Bryce Brown. Brown was initially acquired by the Bills in a trade with Philadelphia in the 2014 offseason.
With the other two running backs behind LeSean McCoy also offering more special teams ability than Brown, he was likely seen as the most expendable.
Do we think there's legit interest here, or is BB just trying to see if he can get a read on Bills gameplan, offensive strategy, playcalls, audibles, etc?
BB is always looking for a fumbling RB. He is pretty forgiving that way.Do we think there's legit interest here, or is BB just trying to see if he can get a read on Bills gameplan, offensive strategy, playcalls, audibles, etc?
nah. he's just looking for some insider info on BUF's offense before the game this week. something he does a lot actually.I Am the Stig said:BB is always looking for a fumbling RB. Or proving that they werent that talented to begin with. Cmike joins these clowns on the sidelines soon enoughWe seem to have several premium talent RBs running around without a team or an active roster spot proving talent isn't the no. 1 or maybe even 2nd or 3rd most important thing in the NFL.
Or maybe they're not premium talents. Brown has nice size / speed, but seems to lack the vision and running instincts to be an effective inside runner at the NFL level. I own the guy (deep dynasties only) and am not planning on cutting him unless forced to by a big string of injuries, but I'm not hopeful at this point. He might latch on somewhere as depth of a team loses a RB or two, but that's about it IMO.We seem to have several premium talent RBs running around without a team or an active roster spot proving talent isn't the no. 1 or maybe even 2nd or 3rd most important thing in the NFL.
Yup and maybe talent isn't just about how well you run with the ball.Or maybe they're not premium talents. Brown? The Buffalo Bills are prepared to turn their backfield over to rookie Karlos Williams versus the New York Giants in Week 4.
Nursing a nagging hamstring injury, LeSean McCoy is unlikely to play this week, NFL Media's Rand Getlin reported, via a source briefed on the injury.
Although a quick-footed McCoy appeared to be over the hump in Week 2, he spent much of Sunday's victory on the stationary bike, trying to keep his hamstring loose.
The coaching staff's confidence in Williams is likely the primary reason behind this week's cautious approach to McCoy's recovery.Although a quick-footed McCoy appeared to be over the hump in Week 2, he spent much of Sunday's victory on the stationary bike, trying to keep his hamstring loose.
A fifth-round pick out of Florida State, Williams has rushed 24 times for 186 yards (7.8 YPC) and three touchdowns in the first three games of his career. The power back has impressed going back to training camp.
With only Anthony Dixon and fullback Jerome Felton in reserve, look for the Bills to sign another tailback in the next couple of days.
Not sure that Bryce Brown ever even read a playbook, so that would not have been that helpful.nah. he's just looking for some insider info on BUF's offense before the game this week. something he does a lot actually.BB is always looking for a fumbling RB. Yeah, I have to agree. It's odd, and a red flag IMO, that Buffalo chose to sign Boom Herron instead of Bryce Brown. I wouldn't get my hopes up.
Tennessee would be a great landing spot for Brown, but... we've been down this road before with him. I think his NFL ship may have sailed.Free agents RBs Bryce Brown and Storm Johnson worked out for the Titans on Tuesday.
Brown continues to get sniffs as a free agent, but has yet to latch on with a team following his release from the Bills last month. Super talented and still young at 24, Brown has at least shown he can play at the NFL level.
