Paul Sporer is high on him for some9.3 - sp Brandon Finnegan
If that's the fangraphs guy I just read that article.Paul Sporer is high on him for somereasons
Yeah, he's w/ Fangraphs now. He used to self-publish a massive guide to starting pitchers that was interesting reading when it was free.If that's the fangraphs guy I just read that article.
His real-life BB9 was a concern, but he held his own in the sim for my squad. Even mild real-life improvement can make Finnegan a sim stud.Paul Sporer is high on him for some9.3 - sp Brandon Finneganreasons
It's still weird to see him pop up on Fantasy shows and big websites. Use to be in a Fantasy League with him a million years ago with Rotojunkie. In a room full ofYeah, he's w/ Fangraphs now. He used to self-publish a massive guide to starting pitchers that was interesting reading when it was free.
Jeopardy Question: What is something you overheard at a Gobbler draft?i really wanted Hellickson as my .#4 and Straily as my #5. Sniped two picks before me.
Pretty strong value ... kept thinking he'd be going any time now for the past round and a half.Ervin Santana SP MIN
I was hoping he and or Liriano would last.Pretty strong value ... kept thinking he'd be going any time now for the past round and a half.
This is what sacred me off Cotton. He was at the top of my list when I took Bauer but I have no idea how many innings to expect from him.Pitching has a lot of upside but not much experience. May be gambling a bit too much on IP for this format.
@cosjobs This is one of the big differences between this and a typical fantasy league. You're committed to the total package here; you get their full season warts and all. So guys with innings limits, injury risks, platoon usage, etc. lose more value in this format than most other leagues. This is what sacred me off Cotton. not sure i agree with this in practice. First, you get 50 rounds of players, and only need 25-31 of them. Second, you get the 10% bonus IP/PA in the sim, plus however much fatigue penalty you can stomach. Third, if your guy does get limited time, it increases the probability you've drafted a "cookie".This is one of the big differences between this and a typical fantasy league. If you're playing in a league with daily or weekly moves, you can stream pitchers, bench them when they're at Coors, platoon hitters based on SP matchups, juggle rosters around IP limits, etc.not sure i agree with this in practice. so, i'm on the fence here.
