That worked out well for you last season when i gave you Montgomery and NicasioIf not, I'll trade for a 4A starter.

Does anybody know how he simmed last year? I love the BB/9 but the HR/9 scared me away.13.20 - Josh Tomlin, SP, CLE
That kind of usage is actually very useful in a WIS league.I'm very down on Harvey to stay healthy, and they have other question marks too. I love Gsellman's stuff and even if he's 90 innings with 3 IP/G, I'll make it work.
He has a lot of flaws, but 20 HR in 330 PA last year from a 2B is pretty enticing in round 13.2B Ryan Schimpf SD
Unless you're forced to use him as a starterThat kind of usage is actually very useful in a WIS league.
Get two guys like that and you can go tandem starter.Unless you're forced to use him as a starter
Well, I'm thinking he's got at least power and walks + good defense. An AVG over .240 for him would be huge.[Schimpf] has a lot of flaws, but 20 HR in 330 PA last year from a 2B is pretty enticing in round 13.
If he made it back to me in the 14th I was gonna take him even though I already have Neil Walker.
Some of us figured this out way back in the oughts.Unless you're forced to use him as a starter
You're never forced to use a 3 IP/G guy as a starter. No more than you're forced to use a real-life closer or middle reliever as a starter.Unless you're forced to use him as a starterThat kind of usage is actually very useful in a WIS league.
Montgomery was a bit too shy on IP.G .... already likely firing a bit by 40 pitches. But he was a key eater of innings in my less conventional pairing him with lowing IP/G guys to take a 4 inning starter through 6.That worked out well for you last season when i gave you Montgomery and Nicasio
Shoot it here.About to take off - should have wifi once at altitude but can send a one man list to speed things up
If he's able, the potential is there for some OF ABs with the Carter signing.I almost took Holliday in like round 8 before realizing he's a DH now. Still could be pretty useful at 1B or a bench bat, or maybe interleague or injury gets him into the OF for a few games.
Define "able"If he's able, the potential is there for some OF ABs with the Carter signing.
Poor drafting & bad luckYou're never forced to use a 3 IP/G guy as a starter. No more than you're forced to use a real-life closer or middle reliever as a starter.
As I recall, WIS did some arbitrary limiting of how tandem starters could be used. Was it you can't do a five man rotation with a tandem slot? Some of us figured this out way back in the oughts.
Has to be your last starter. So if you're using a 4 man, only 4a and 4b are a thing. If 5 man, only 5a and 5b are possible. At least that's how I remember it.As I recall, WIS did some arbitrary limiting of how tandem starters could be used. Was it you can't do a five man rotation with a tandem slot?
Holliday's been A+/D- the last two years. If they change the rules to allow 10 fielders, he'll win a gold glove.Define "able"
you never know with ManfredHolliday's been A+/D- the last two years. If they change the rules to allow 10 fielders, he'll win a gold glove.
Thanks. All my SP this year are going to be 200 IP w/ 7.0 IP/G but this info might come in handy for somebody.Has to be your last starter. So if you're using a 4 man, only 4a and 4b are a thing. If 5 man, only 5a and 5b are possible. At least that's how I remember it.
you cant have a regular starter start after a tandem. As I recall, WIS did some arbitrary limiting of how tandem starters could be used. Was it you can't do a five man rotation with a tandem slot?
But damn, did he stroke it in the SIMROID era last season.Holliday's been A+/D- the last two years. If they change the rules to allow 10 fielders, he'll win a gold glove.
Yeah it's a PITA to manageyou cant have a regular starter start after a tandem.
You can go:
1.
2.
3a/3b
4a/4b
but not:
1.
2a/2b
3
4
it can be, yes. Ive gotten stuck a couple times scrambling for a starter because i got busy and didnt have a chance to reset the orderYeah it's a PITA to manage
Thanks. At least I'm pretty sure the Pirates won't sign Wieters. All yours
Surprised a few guys went before him. Yes, he has a noodle arm, and a noodle bat... but consistently good OBP. Was my #9 hitter most of last season to set up a lineup with my best power/overall bats at 2/3Francisco Cervelli available?
