Last year I took Brandon Belt in the 7th round and later regretted it. Better 1B went later and there's just so much depth at the position. So this year I decided to be more patient... and wait until the 8th round to take him.

Marcus Semien SS

I highly value defense in general but especially up the middle - injuries hurt him last year but he was a key cog for me in 400 PAs. Could also be a bounce back as he showed nice pop two years ago, but hopefully will have that range of solid D again regardless.

It was he and one other SS that would fit the bill, can't risk 50 picks later.
