if you needed a catcher, Vogt is better. Mejia probably won't catch in the bigs

In the WIS simulation? That's one aspect of real-life baseball that Sparky doesn't replicate, as far as I know.

Right... throwing out baserunners is really the only thing that matters for catchers.

Range isn't used at all.

Fielding % is used but given the league K/9 basically all catchers have good fielding percentage (Ks count as putouts)

No consideration for framing or calling or anything.
