***BTTF VI: Draft Over! See you in October (1 Viewer)

From rounds 31 - 50, I managed to draft only one usable player - Fernando Abad
I didn't do much better. Enrique Burgos (rd 31) is marginally usable and Ryan Raburn (rd 35) is an OK bench bat.

I stole Ryan Dull in round 37, but after that my only guy who's even seen PT is Daniel Castro and his .410 OPS.

It's weird but I don't think I'll be doing much trading. I don't have a lot of needs, but I don't have much to offer either.

I probably will need to add a back-end bullpen guy or two, and could spare some bench bats - Jhonny Peralta, Billy Butler, Ryan Raburn, Abraham Almonte.

Was checking your roster to see if anything made sense for you to upgrade at 2B in return for me getting HRs, but not sure I see a logical fit.

I will have close to 300 SP innings to trade
I'll likely need 50-100, but don't think there's much of a fit with me having options at 2B and OF - though depending on how other things pan out, I may have a decent utility guy like Andres Blanco (oooh, champion.... ship?).

31 - Justin Nicolino could get me 10 or so pretty ####ty starts (1.53 Whip and 1.1 HR) with 65 innings.

32 - Bryan Holladay - 115 PAs of craptastic catching.  But it's still catching.  Actually getting some PAs of late after being picked up by Boston.

33 - Alex Wilson RP - a nice find. 55 IP of 1.23 WHIP and .33 HR/9

48 - Rob Gsellman P - got his feet wet winning his first appearance for my Mets last night going 3 2/3 IP.  Long way to go before getting 25

49 - Seth Lugo P - My only hope had been was there any chance for him to get 25 IP and is almost there with 23 2/3 and so far pitching well.

Either way, very good chance a 49th rounder at least gets some playing time after all. Told you we should have gone to 55 rounds.

ETA: Working with Kim Hy-ocked a Lugo or something as a team name if I can make it work.

Yeah... I'm sure Khris Davis has enough HRs to satisfy your craving, and enough flaws that I'd be willing to listen, but between the Ethier injury and Almonte suspension I don't have much flexibility in the OF. Plus I'd lose my team name (Every Khris begins with K).

Let's not shut the door completely - I could give OF back if we figured something out. He's almost the exact type I'm looking for with enough flaws to keep it reasonably priced and I have OBP and other attributes... just want 'dem HRs.

Diaz in 35 and Cuthbert in 48 will be huge for me in one way or another.  May get some use out of Cessa in 47 if he ends the season strong for the Yanks.

Big dead zone in my draft ... Rounds 16-22:

16.18 (378) SP Milone, Tommy
17.7 (391) RP Boxberger, Brad
18.18 (426) 1B Paulsen, Ben
19.7 (439) RP Doolittle, Sean <--- been good, but hurt a lot
20.18 (474) OF Blanco, Gregor
21.7 (487) C Pena, Brayan
22.18 (522) 2B Goins, Ryan

Picking James Shields (4th round) and Andrew Heaney (7th round) has really hurt. On the other hand, I have had some useful guys from the later rounds:

30.18 (714) RP Cedeno, Xavier  (39 good bullpen IP)
31.7 (727) RP Nuno, Vidal  (47 good bullpen IP)
34.18 (810) UT Pennington, Cliff  (meh, but can use to back up MI)
36.18 (858) RP Axford, John  (meh, but can use fill out bullpen)
38.18 (906) RP Cahill, Trevor  (50 decent bullpen IP)
39.7 (919) OF Bourn, Michael  (speed cookie, can hit a little)
40.18 (954) C Ross, David  (very nice C back-up)
42.18 (1002) 3B Gillaspie, Conor (serviceable 3B back-up)

My 50th rounder -- relief pitcher Cesar Ramos, now in the Tigers' system -- has actually pitched 47 big-league innings this year, they just aren't good enough to be usable (ERA 6.04, WHIP 1.68).

50th round pick Alex Claudio with 37.2 IP, 1.27 WHIP, 0.48 HR/9.  Plus he throws really, really slow, my favorite kind of pitcher to watch.

My late picks are mostly awful, but I did get Joe Biagini (53.1 IP, 2.19 ERA, 2.12 DICE - maybe my best reliever) in round 39 and Matt Szczur 285/333/450 (but only 161 PA's so far) in round 48. Almost all my late round picks spent time on MLB rosters, they were just completely terrible.

Justin Nicolino getting a spot start! Maybe we can get a few more 1.5 whip innings! :boxing:

Plus, Ive got 60% of the Mets starting rotation going... without so much as a deGrom, Harvey, Thor or Matz among 'em. :oldunsure:

**Trade Announcement**

Chem X gets Vincent Velasquez, SP, PHI

Rodg12 gets J.T. Realmuto, C, MIA
needed to be proactive before I get priced out, since I literally have 1 1/2 SP, with odorizzi and niese.

maybe someone wants odorizzi for 2 mediocre SPs?

cleared.

I know I need SP but haven't really looked at the rest of my lineup
I probably saw some need at 2B (though perhaps you are covered by another player without 2B listed) as that's my only big card to play with Cesar Hernandez and Zobrist.

Can't likely help much on SP - I'm trying to claw to 1300-1350 IP myself.

Top of my lineup is gonna be pretty slick.

1) 2B Jose Altuve 364/426/575

2) RF Paulo Orlando 316/341/424 + Travis Janikowski 258/365/342

3) CA Buster Posey 291/367/453

4) CF Charlie Blackmon 321/382/540

5) LF Angel Pagan 299/353/443 + Chris Young 277/338/508

6) 3B Danny Espinosa 216/317/386 + Jose Reyes 267/316/467

7) SS Jordy Mercer 264/340/374

8) 1B John Jaso 255/343/365 + Josh Bell 444/500/889

Lucked into my RF platoon with Orlando and Janikowski (thanks for nothing Brantley!). Hoping that Josh Bell gets enough at bats down the stretch to complete my platoon with Jaso. Will probably try and make a move for a full-time 3B and let Espinosa be my utility guy.

Will have starting pitching to trade for hopefully a 3B and some RP help. Anyone got a spare 3B?
fyi - Espinosa has -0- games at 3b this year.

Is it just me, or is the HR/9 rate of pitchers insane this year?

i have a very makeshift offense, but my pitching is relatively solid. I thought I was hog to get destroyed this year, but after seeing some of your rosters I feel like I might have a shot at .500 season.

Home Runs up 14% vs 2015, and 33% vs 2014.
Holy scamoles.  My +2 HR park should make this interesting (though my pitching staff, by and large, is pretty solid on HRs - though the ones that are bad are BAD - I'm looking at you 3HRs/9 Chris Young.
