***BTTF VI: Draft Over! See you in October (2 Viewers)

With three days left in the MLB schedule, here are updated stats on my trade block:

C David Ross (202 PA, .233/.343/.454, 10 HR)
C Tyler Flowers (318 PA, .270/.358/.423, 8 HR)
C Steven Vogt (521 PA, .252/.303/.403, 13 HR) - would need maybe 50 catching PAs to come back.

3B/2B Yangervis Solarte (431 PA, .290/.346/.473, 15 HR, .969 FLD%) - Would need 3B PA back as part of a multi-player deal. Also will qualify as a 2B in WIS.
3B Conor Gillespie (199 PA, .258/.302/.430, 6 HR, .981 FLD%) - passable offense ... can help someone light on 3B PA. Should be a defensive cookie at 3B, too.

UT Marwin Gonzalez (510 PA, .254/.294/.403, 12 HR, .991 FLD%) - similar hitter to Gillespie, but more versatile in the field. Will qualify in WIS at 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, and OF. Could help someone short on PAs at a few spots.

OF Michael Bourn (400 PA, .260/.306/.370, 5 HR, 15 SB) - bench speed, enough offense to start in a pinch
OF Tommy Pham (183 PA, .226/.324/.440, 9 HR, 1.000 FLD%) - not as attractive a piece as he was in mid-August, but good pop and a for-sure defensive cookie.

RHSP James Shields (32 GS, 18 QS, 174.2 IP, 5.82 ERA, 1.620 WHIP, 5.86 DICE) - less yucky than a few weeks ago, but still yucky. But anyone who needs starting innings in bulk can get him cheap.
LHSP Adam Morgan (21 GS, 8 QS, 113.1 IP, 6.04 ERA, 1.500 WHIP, 4.84 DICE) - can be had cheap, could help someone half a starter short.

LHP Sean Doolittle (38 IP, 2.61 ERA, 1.000 WHIP, 3.03 DICE) - can help someone short on lefty bullpen arms, need a RHP back.
LHP Xavier Cedeno (41.1 IP, 3.70 ERA, 1.185 WHIP, 2.49 DICE) - ditto.
LHP Vidal Nuno (57.1 IP, 3.45 ERA, 1.326 WHIP, 4.43 DICE) - ditto.

RHP Shane Green (60 IP, 5.55 ERA, 1.283 WHIP, 2.98 DICE) - inclined to keep him, but could be part of multi-player deal.
RHP Trevor Cahill (64 IP, 2.64 ERA, 1.284 WHIP, 4.22 DICE) - ditto.

CL Kenley Jansen (67.2 IP, 1.86 ERA, 0.635 WHIP, 1.24 DICE) - as part of a multi-player deal that improves my starting pitching and bench batting, could move Jansen to an owner with enough pieces to overpay. Jansen's sorta half on the block, half not -- I'd have to be wowed by the offer. It's just that he's my single best player at his position ... and therefore probably my biggest bargaining chip.

Some other junky catchers, danny santana and #### like mikie mahtook.

Needs:

Looking for an upgrade in the OF, otherwise I'm trotting Souza, Leonys Martin and Sano/Buxton out there most days.

Have enough SP innings, but wouldn't mind trying to upgrade a bit as several of my starters have ERAs in the mid 4s.

Available:

CA: Cameron Rupp - 407PA .254/.307/.455.

SP: Jharel Cotton - 25IP 0.680 WHIP 1.44 ERA (Should get 1 more start this weekend)

Plus a bunch of crappy relievers

Looking for starting pitcher innings and/or infield upgrades (trust me they all suck).

I'm looking for about 80 games at the catcher position. I have speedy Dee Gordon, well-rounded Richie Weeks Jr, patient Justin Smoak, and iconic Alex Rodriguez available. Not looking for anything special, just need the ABs. Can even throw back 49 bad Hank Conger catching games if needed.
TRADE ANNOUNCEMENT

Bogart sends:
LHP Chris Rusin
RHP Tony Barnette
RHP Bryan Shaw
C Hank Conger

to Doug B in exchange for:
C Steven Vogt
RHP John Axford
LHP Vidal Nuno
RHP Trevor Cahill

I forgot how D ratings work... will playing 7 games at SS give Jhonny Peralta any kind of rating there?

If so, I may not have to make any trades although I'd still like to improve the pen a bit. If not, I may need to trade for a 150-200 PA backup SS.

He should have a rating -- and not necessarily a terrible one. Just using one of my own players as an example.

Marwin Gonzalez played:

- 4 games at LF, 1 game at RF in 2014, was a B+/C- OF in WIS

- 4 games at 3B in 2013, was a D+/C- 3B

- 6 games at 2B in 2012, was a B-/D- 2B

Thanks Doug

Peralta had a 1.000 fielding percentage and a better RF/G than last year in his brief time at SS, so I'm optimistic that will translate into something playable.

I always thought a player had to have about 15-20 games at a position to avoid an automatic D-/D-, but I looked up Marwin Gonzalez's stuff and it looks like Doug is right. Huh.

I could have sworn the part in red was right at one time. Maybe something changed in the last year or three on WIS, and we really didn't pick up on it. Or maybe they're incorporating stats from very recent seasons in a different way than stats from older seasons.

RATINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cesar Hernandez at a decent B/C-

:coffee:

BTW, how do we see who is AAA eligible?

Peralta ended up D/D-. Not what I hoped but at least he got a rating.

Some guys missing? I can't find Beltran.
Just searched the Draft Center for "Abreu, Jose" ... and his 2016 season didn't show up. Then searched for "Abreu, Jo" ... and his 2016 DID show up

EDIT: was testing a theory that Spanish accent marks over certain letters were messing up the search -- wanted to do a search that got around the accented "é" in "José".

I couldn't find Cespedes, so I just sorted by stats and he was there.  If you seek someone not at the top of any stat, just narrow the search to within a few points of their avg, obp or slg and they should come up.

Yeah, the accent mark issue is apparently a thing ... couldn't find Marwin González by searching "Gonzalez, Marwin", but he turned up when searching "Gonz, Marwin".

You can get A-Rod and Raul Mondesi by searching by "New York Yankees" or "Kansas City Royals", year 2016 to 2016.
