Actually, I'm a little more concerned that TB felt he needed a MRI, for muscle spasms...

Quote from Cadillac: "I feel pretty good, went through practice and had a pretty good workout," Williams said. "If push came to shove and it was a game, I could have and probably would have" played."

Probably just being extra careful with their franchise RB.

It came back normal, so no worries, at least for now.Looks like Caddy is a go, but definitely keep your fingers crossed.

After being concerned about Caddy earlier in the week, I've thought about it some more and I think I am actually a lot more confident starting him in all my leagues this weekend.

First off, the ATL defense is a little dinged up (I know a couple guys were questionable, but I'd love to hear an update on their status if anyone has it).

Perhaps more importantly, just thinking back on the atrocious Bucs offense last week has me wondering. I would not be surprised to see Gruden open this one up by looking to run first to open up the pass for Simms. Last week they never established the ground game, and Simms was just weak throughout. I could see Gruden wanting to come out and make a statement, and the general offensive strategy being a ton of Cadillac up front until the pass opens up a bit.

I think this is what we can expect to see this week, and I think Cadillac will come out wanting to prove something, so I really think that, particularly if the ATL defense is still dinged, we may see a big game out of him in week 2.

I was thinking about going with Gore and Jamal this week. But if Caddy is healthy, I may have to start him this week.

Not to be too crabby, but this expression is right up there with "if you take away his long run...".Did he not want to "prove something" last week? At this level of play I would expect the players would like to "prove something" every single game, wouldn't they? Don't the defenders want to "prove something" by stuffing him at the line?

You're right, it's sort of a stupid gut-call argument without any support. I just think the kid had a slow week 1 and will want to show that he's still the guy who earned the ROY last year. I think he'll have tons of opportunity to get on a roll this week. Just my two cents.

Don't mean to bust your chops, but I expect more from you. I mean, you are Otis!By the way, I do agree that he will have a strong game. I don't believe he "earned" ROY, but that's another thread.

You're right though -- I'm the first person to call others out for fluff arguments, and so I shouldn't do it myself.I still think Gruden will want to establish the run early, and, if he's healthy enough (which seems to be the case based on the news above), I think there will be a VERY healthy dose of Cadillac right out of the gate this week.

I hope your right. That Chucky only gave Caddy the ball 8 times last week worries me. Chucky likes the passing game a bit much for my taste. I hope he see's that Simms cannot carry this team. It needs to be Caddy and the defense. Both of Atlanta's DE are hurting so Caddy offtackle should be a good play all day. Establish that then you can open up some passing lanes and play action.

Predition: Caddy will be the bust of the year. He can't stay healthy apparently, Pittman is the 3rd down back, Alstott is the goalline back, and TB's schedule is pretty darn tough. My 2 cents for the day.

I'm concerned you might be right. Especially if Simms continues to implode and no decent QB2 options (ala Griese) on deck. The 2 guards on the shelf aren't helping the cause either.I wasn't crazy about Caddy in general, but inherited him in a Keeper league after adopting a team. Great talent, but offense and health concerns (friggin' already) are making me VERY nervous - when I need to count on him for RB2 #s. I'd love a solid game (~100/1) and the ability to move him for decent value. Maybe I'm wrong here, and over-reacting to TB getting SMOKED at home by a solid BAL Defense, but something doesn't smell right to me in TB.If he struggles again to perform and stay on the field, I can see major problems w/ that schedule down the road. Not to mention Pitt/Alstott looking to steal some thunder if the opportunity arises. Then I'll be lucky to get Gore/Tatum type returns... If I wansn't working w/ a keeper situation, I'd have dealt him already.PLEASE prove me wrong Caddy (& Chucky)! Get the back and offense together, and bust off a nice game this week...

Bart Scott put one hell of a smack on Caddy. I wonder if that's when it "flared up".......

Until last season players like Joe Horn or Steve McNair were the players who were always listed on the injury report with questions and they always played on Sunday. I'm beginning to think the same thing about Cadillac. He'll always have some type of injury, yet always play on Sunday.
