Buffalo at NY Jets (1 Viewer)

No more than he always is.

Has there ever been a game where he didn't go to the sidelines looking crippled for life, then come back a few plays later? Because he did it again tonight...
It honestly feels like it happens once a month like clockwork.

Did anyone notice Romo reminiscing about those little late hits that McCown took from Lawson, and instantly shut up? PTSD? Lol

It is so painful having to rely on effing Jet players when you have no choice because every other player on you roster is hurt.

Looking good tonight

What the heck is up with his catch rate for the season?

I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone that low (10/37 27.0%)
According to PFF about half of those targets haven't been catchable.

Still bad catch rate even after accounting for that, but not nearly as bad.

Ducasse beat on two straight throws and then Mills totally whiffed. Bills O-line getting destroyed so far. Gotta get some quick screens or deep throws going on this will happen all game.

Too many 3rd down conversions... Bills have been lucky the last few weeks that these haven’t come back to bite them.  At some point that catches up to you.

Bills look terrible tonight.  Going to blow a great opportunity to move to 6-2.  Same old Bills.

Tyrod Taylor has been sacked 5 times by the @nyjets on #TNF. He's the 3rd QB to be sacked 5+ times in the 1st half of a game this season.

The other 2 QBs sacked 5+ times in the 1st half: Tom Savage (6 times) in Week 1 vs @Jaguars and Aaron Rodgers (5) in Week 3 vs @Bengals

McCoy is averaging over 4 yards per carry in this game. The Bills can't pass block... Tyrod is eating turf repeatedly. Why aren't they running more again? This stuff really isn't complicated.

Dirty play on that one Zay got hurt on. Should have been a personal foul for tripping: Link
Umm maybe I guess, to me it seemed like the classic lazy grab / lunge when guys get out of position (e.g.  DB threw his leg out to maintain his balance because of his poor technique, personally I don’t think it was intentional - you see that same reaction by basketball defenders all the time.) Anyway, if def threw Jones off & he hyper extended his right knee trying to keep his balance.

Hopefully not serious but he’s probably done for the night.

Now we see the mettle of this coaching staff and team. They're playing bad football against an inferior opponent, but are still very much in this game.

Do they adjust? Does Tyrod see better protection? Do they cut the penalties out?

This and some quick hit screens....

What happened to Shady being a target hog?

I'd agree that it was not an intentional act to injure, and just a bang-bang reaction by the DB.  But it is still obviously tripping and should have drawn the flag.  Wasn't obvious on the first replay shown in that link, but the second view makes it very clear.

You right, judging intent is not part of the rule.

Some absolutely terrible playcalling for Buffalo. No idea why we aren't seeing some screen passes. Can't keep calling obvious runs or long developing pass plays.

Looks pretty intentional to me: https://twitter.com/Eric_Edholm/status/926268446375104512

Sigh. I mean, there was no conceivable reason for Thornton to panic and grab McCown's facemask.

Don't like that call...didn't pull on it and let it go immediately. When they got rid of the 5 yard facemask the tradeoff was that they were supposed to ignore the unintentional ones without any tug
