Bulger to play on Sunday at Seattle (1 Viewer)

Bulger said Monday he plans to return to the lineup this week, and coach Scott Linehan said the quarterback would be cleared to play at Seattle.

"Yeah, I'm playing," Bulger said. "I'm ready now after standing around for two weeks. They definitely feel a little better, but I haven't been hit."

Bulger said he couldn't worry about compounding those injuries.

"I don't think we have an option right now," he said. "It doesn't matter if it's smart, I think I have to."
LinkTo me Bulger can still sling it when healthy but the Rams have some line issues and Bulger doesn't sound like he's gonna be 100 percent. Still seems like a guy who could pick up steam and help in a playoff run though. Thoughts?

I'd bump Holt more than anything else. In leagues where TO's don't hurt much Bulger might be worth something because STL should be passing a ton. STL has devolved into the old Cardinals. Start the passing game and hope for garbage yards the way that defense is playing.

With Bruce and Bennett ailing, shouldn't this news bump McMichael too? Now he has a competent passer and he's probably now the 2nd option in the offense.

Is Leonard still an option on this offense? I thought he was a decent receiving back, but didn't see much from him on Sunday. With Bruce and Bennett hurting, perhaps Leonard would benefit along with Holt and/or McMichael?

...but the Rams have some line issues...
That's an understatement.Bulger's a tough guy, he might last longer than we think. I'm liking Holt and Leonard - I think Leonard just didn't get passing game looks last week because of Frerotte. Bulger knows how to dump off.

Is there any reason to hold onto this guy any longer? His schedule looks decent, but he just doesn't look like his old self (understatement). The Rams are just plain awful. Who's keeping him?

As no more than a back up to Carson. Hopefully I never need him.

I have him and holding him hoping for the best. He plays Cleveland this week, so there is a tease for you.

I'm trying to deal for Anderson, but the owner is jerking me around. He has manning, so Anderson is a luxury.

Bulger hasn't fooled everyone the last 4 years, that line is awful and hurt. I hope he bounces back.

He looked like he didn't even want to be on the field yesterday. There was a great shot where you could see him glaring at Linehan for the stupid play call as he was peeling himself off the ground after yet another hit.

Bulger is out there on the ww in a few of my leagues and I'm not biting. The recs. aren't getting open and the Oline consists of 2nd and 3rd stringers. Ds don't even need to blitz to pressure the QB. If you're playing WW defense simply plug in the team facing the Rams. Maybe things will change when SJax returns but I think the real problem is the line.

There's hope yet!!! If you watched the game yesterday, then you know Rams had two sure TDs, one dropeed by Holt at the goal line and Bruce stumbled when he got behind the Seattle secondary for a 31yard gain. They are just very unlucky right now, but Bulger vs the Browns should be $$$ this week. At least I hope so, I have to chose between the lesser of the two evils in Brees and Bulger...

I just picked him up off the waiver wire. I now have Romo/Palmer/Bulger. Looking at that schedule you just have to assume they will start prouducing.

I like the matchup next week vs CLE but theres no way anybody can start him at this point
Not even the guy who has now gone through Alex Smith, Kurt Warner and David Garrard? (Yeah, Warner's back quickly, but he's on bye!). I'm starting Bulger with less confidence than Lee Evans.

I'm with ya bro. I drafted Bulger, backed him up with Lienart. Solid right? Ha. After Leinart went down I plugged Warner in for a big fat -1 pts. This week I rolled with Garrard. Yikes. If I could just get the Brady owner to trade him to me the rest of the NFL might stand a chance. I'm probably gonna throw Bulger in there this week. ;)

Did Bruce make it through the game without reinjuring his hammy? I saw he only had 2 grabs, but it looked like nobody other than Hold had many more than that.
