buy low/sell highs (1 Viewer)

mossajaustinroddywayneif u would keep nicks over one of these 5 ur crazy
Chances of acquiring any of these guys straight up for Nicks? I'd say less than 2% in most leagues.
I might be able to get AJ for Nicks in my non-PPR redraft league. But I wonder if I should do it. Nicks is performing at the level owners are expecting from AJ. Andre is dealing with a high ankle sprain and he hasn't exactly been the picture of health throughout his career. I would trade Nicks for Roddy (who I also own), Wayne, and Austin, but I think I'm holding for any other WR. I sniffed around for trades to upgrade my RBs, but there are a precious few backs that I'd be willing to deal Nicks for. The problem is, in a 12 team league, no other manager can afford to trade away a top back like Gore or Mendenhall. I'm not willing to trade him for a mid level back like Charles or LT, so I think Nicks is going to stay on my teams all year. Hopefully he keeps it up.

Hes a young goodlooking shanahan style runner and shanahan appears to like him. Very strong chance that he is the redskins RB for the next few years.

woodhead appears to be a sneaky buy low based on the (cbs sports) comments below

Patriots coach Bill Belichick said Monday he's been impressed with RB Danny Woodhead, who could see a bigger role in the passing game with WR Randy Moss now gone. "He’s really learned quickly in terms of all the different things we’ve asked him to do: different pass routes, route adjustments, pass protections, formations, the running plays, the ball handling, all that stuff," Belichick said. "For a running back, those guys are pretty much in the middle of every play. They’re doing something that’s important to the play. He’s done a good job of learning all those things and working extra to not only know his assignment, but also execute it well. I think that’s probably the biggest thing. Skill-wise, he looks pretty much like the player that we signed as far as his speed and his quickness and his hands and things like that. He’s certainly learned the system quickly. He’s helped us not only on offense, but in the kicking game. When you just throw all that on one guy in a short period of time, it’s great really that he’s been able to pick up everything as quickly as he has and contribute as much as he has the last few weeks. Hopefully that’ll get better. I know this is a good week, this past week was a good week for him to review, kind of get caught up, go over some of the fundamental things maybe that get skimmed over when you’re getting ready for a game plan, the terminology and some little things. He’s done a real good job of coming in here and adapting to all the different responsibilities we’ve given him."

pretty nice words coming from a guy who pretty much is never satisfied with anything. plus, faulk is gone for the year. woodhead could pick up those responsibilities. they're coming off the BYE, which is one more week to a) learn the offense and b) the coaching staff to carve a niche out for him. Only owned in 31% of cbs leagues.

I meant Owen Daniels, TE HOU.

In dynasty, I've been looking to buy:

[*]Ryan Torrain
Need this explained, esp coming from someone with a Skins icon?
Watching Torrain last weekend, he was hampered by an OL that's injury-riddled and just not that good yet. But he impressed me with his power and aggression. When he wasn't getting hit in the backfield, he was plowing forward and dragging people with him. I think he's the kind of one-cut RB Mike Shanahan likes and I'm confident the Skins OL will start to gel later this season or next. Shanahan is on record saying he thinks Torrain is a "top back in the NFL." We'll see about that but I like his upside and I think people are still selling him cheap.

If he survives the game this Sunday you could be right, but at 180 catching passes in the flat against Ray Lewis and company, I have doubts that he will. If they use him to run between the tackles like they did MNF they are going to get this kid killed.
