Buying a house with my GF, offer accepted, loan processing...waiting on appraisal. House should close around the end of October.

Tax-wise would it be more beneficial to get married in December or wait until January? Or doesn't it matter?

December would get you married filing jointly, so should be better generically

I thought the FFA rule was break up in December so you don't have to buy a Christmas gift and get back together in January.
