No thread on him as far as I can tell.  Signed to the Redskins from the Eagles practice squad.  Split time between RB and WR at Oregon after being the number 8 RB recruit in the nation in 2012, per Rivals.

However, in Washington, Jay Gruden would have you believe he's a lot bigger than his listed 5'9" 201 lbs.

Running backs minus Rob Kelley. This is Byron Marshall's first game w/ Redskins. He's enormous in pads.

Gruden says new RB Byron Marshall tips the scale around 215-220. Listed at 201. Dunno.
So ... idk, but there's a massive role in Gruden's offense waiting for someone to fill it down the stretch.  What does that end up meaning for Marshall?  Maybe nothing ... maybe something.

Guess we'll find out.  The next Samkon Gado is out there.

Gruden on Byron Marshall's readiness for Thompson's 3rd down role:

“We shall find out, John, now won’t we? [Smiling] But he’s a bright kid. He’s bright-eyed and willing to learn. I think he’s not going to have much of a choice. He’s going to have to.”

He was a fan favorite here in Philly during preseason last year. Runs hard, works hard. Not sure how much upside but he's getting a shot so I'm happy for him.

There's more hype surrounding him than I was expecting. I grabbed him in a couple of deeper leagues just to see what his role looks like tonight. There's no risk in it.
