He was also the 7th leading RB in fantasy football the last 7 weeks of the '05 season. Finished about 19th overall while missing basically 6 games.2005 Offensive Rookie of the Year. The only reason I give any credibility to his '05 numbers is because his O-line and QB were so absolutely horrible last year... otherwise '05 is ancient history. He was also the 7th leading RB in fantasy football the last 7 weeks of the '05 season. Point is...he's proven something. Certainly more than Ronnie Brown or Cedric Benson. The only reason I give any credibility to his '05 numbers is because his O-line and QB were so absolutely horrible last year... otherwise '05 is ancient history. He was also the 7th leading RB in fantasy football the last 7 weeks of the '05 season. Thanks Wraith. And do I really have to substantiate this? The proof is on the field every friggin Sunday for crying out loud. You don't need a spread sheet to see that. Not that I necessarily agree with Todem, but I'd say there is ample evidence to support his comment. Thanks for the unsubstantiated opinion. We had been running short on those lately.Won't matter the guy is a huge bust.In fact Caddy , Ronnie and Benson are all garbage (all from the same draft class).

LOLSorry Caddy owners - I am pulling for a piss poor game and an early exit so I can make a play for him cheaply.
That's certainly not excellent. Week 2: 85 rushing + 1 TDSorry Caddy owners - I am pulling for a piss poor game and an early exit so I can make a play for him cheaply.
IF he gets in a FULL practice I agree with youThat's certainly not excellent. Week 2: 85 rushing + 1 TDSorry Caddy owners - I am pulling for a piss poor game and an early exit so I can make a play for him cheaply.![]()
Wow. Completely insane. When it is painfully obvious that the poster's statement it true, why does he/she need to substantiate everything for you dude? Are you slow or do you lack reason? Do we need to spell it out for you that C A D D Y I S T H E S U C K You harassed me for being sarcastic about Caddy now you give this guy a hard time for not meeting your desired substantiation of the obvious. Pet peeve or not GET OVER ITI don't necessarily disagree with him. I just would like it if people would give evidence instead of throwing crap out and hoping it sticks. It doesn't help anyone when 15 posters come into a thread about an injury/whatever and say, "ZOMG it doesn't matter he suks". Just a personal pet peeve. Not that I necessarily agree with Todem, but I'd say there is ample evidence to support his comment. Thanks for the unsubstantiated opinion. Same here. He has a good schedule down the stretch.Sorry Caddy owners - I am pulling for a piss poor game and an early exit so I can make a play for him cheaply.
So am I!fred taylor OR caddy this weekend???leaning to taylor
Also I read that his participation was in the non-padded portion of practice.Sep 12 Williams (bruised ribs) participated in part of Wednesday's practice, according to the Buccaneers' official site.Recommendation: “I’m going to hold out hope that he’s ready to go,” said head coach Jon Gruden. “He’s got sore ribs. We did the tests. There are no broken ribs there so we do expect him to be back at some time, hopefully soon. But obviously he’s a guy that we need. Hopefully in the next 24 hours we’ll have a better gauge on where he is.” It sounds like Williams could be a game-time decision this week, but there is reason to hope that he will be able to play.
They are not insane, they aren't just going to let him go out and get rung up by one of their own players at a Wed. practice. Cmon, think about it! If they had him in there during full contact, then all the coaches should be fired!I'll try to get this thread back on track for those interested in actual status of Cadillac for this weekend. From Rotowire today...

Bucs' Caddy moving better
RB says he'll play vs. Saints
By ROGER MOONEY
Herald Staff Writer
TAMPA --Cadillac Williams had little difficulty getting out of bed Wednesday morning and that’s good news as far as his chances of playing Sunday against New Orleans in the home opener for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Bucs running back bruised his ribs during the third quarter of the loss last Sunday in Seattle and did not return to the game. He is listed as questionable for this Sunday.
But Williams said before Wednesday’s practice that he plans on playing.
“I’m going to do everything in my power to get it right,” Williams said. “Sunday is a division game, and I need to be ready.”
Williams said the improvement in his ribs from after the Seattle game is “like night day.”
“It’s a positive to me,” he said. “Hopefully, I’m a quick healer.”
Williams, who said he never injured his ribs before, had trouble seeping, rolling over in bed and getting out of bed during the first half of the week. But the pain had subsided by Wednesday to the point where he no longer felt discomfort as he got out of bed. He was so encouraged that he was ready to practice Wednesday, which he did, though on a very limited basis.
“He is making progress,” Bucs coach Jon Gruden said. “We obviously need him in the game. We’re going to find out in the next day or so as to his true status or availability for the game. I’m going to hold out hope that he can go. He’s got sore ribs. We did the tests. There are no broken ribs there. We expect him back, hopefully, sometime soon. Obviously he’s a guy we need.”
Williams has missed two games each during his first two seasons because of injuries. He said the thought of another nagging injury crossed his mind as remained on the turf in Seattle while the Bucs training staff rushed to his aide.
“My initial thought was, ‘Wow, here we go again,’ ” he said.
But Williams said he would wear extra padding to protect the ribs and was confident the Bucs medical staff will have him ready for Sunday.
“I know who I am and what I stand for,” Williams said. “I’ll fight back.”
I would like to interupt this ifight to put forth a "Michael Pittman may have upside" statement into the general conversation. Sorry to get in the way, please continue.whatever inflates you iEgo there buddyDo you like iStalk me or something?Seriously, it's creepy. This is the last time I address you and my apologies to the board for an "ifight" or[bGP] Just trying to clean up the boards. [/bGP]I'm honestly not trying to start fights, unless someone provokes me. I use sarcasm to prove points. People take serious offense to it, even though they're not personal attacks. You do know how many posts your iFights add to threads though, right? Don't get me wrong - more power to you. But I've had to wade through quite a few posts with your name on them more than once recently in those same injury threads...I don't necessarily disagree with him. I just would like it if people would give evidence instead of throwing crap out and hoping it sticks. It doesn't help anyone when 15 posters come into a thread about an injury/whatever and say, "ZOMG it doesn't matter he suks". Just a personal pet peeve.
But yes, I know a lot of my posts leave people angry. Problem is, they usually lead to discussion (as has happened in here). Add that to the fact that I really don't care what people think of some online person named "Keys", I'm okay with it.You have started fights with people without being provoked - FACT
You blasted me for my intended sarcasm and then say "I use sarcasm to prove points" - FACT
You tell me I have "Daddy issues" (whatever the hell that means), then say "they're not personal attacks" - FACT
What a joke.....
Here's another article about Cadillac. Again, nothing for sure, but it seems as if he'll do anything he can to be in the game. Take it for what it's worth.
Good stuff, Packer. Thanx.September 13, 2007, 12:45Buccaneers :: RB, DBRB Williams, CB Kelly ImprovingIra Kaufman, Tampa Tribune - [Full Article]Buccaneers RB Cadillac Williams said he is feeling much better from a rib injury sustained Sunday against the Seahawks. Williams, who will wear a flak jacket this week if he continues to improve, participated lightly Wednesday in practice. CB Brian Kelly got some good news about his injured groin. While his playing status is still up in the air this week, HC Jon Gruden said Kelly won't miss much time. We don't believe it's a tear, and as a matter of fact, Brian's doing quite well,' Gruden said. CB Phillip Buchanon will start in place of Kelley.

His tubes are twisted.glad his ribs are better, but how are his ovaries?
Cadillac Williams (ribs) returned to practice Thursday and could be upgraded after Bucs coach Jon Gruden called him "questionable" on Monday. The questionable, probable, and doubtful tags are applied on Fridays. Caddy will wear a flak jacket if he faces the Saints, and could lose short-yardage carries if Tampa Bay decides it'd be best to hold him out of situations where he'd be more likely to get hit. Michael Pittman could still see a big role.Source: St. Petersburg Times
The kid wants to produce. I would have to think that if he is practicing in full pads he has minimal discomfort. Playng at home, IF he does play he will see a good amount of carries.Caddy practiced today per rotoworld

Traded for him as my #3 back. Gave up Marion Barber. PPR league. Not a Caddy owner here, but has anyone made any trades for him or traded him away? If so, what type of value is Caddy commanding right now?
"After participating in limited action in practice on Wednesday, running back Cadillac Williams returned to practice on Thursday. Head coach Jon Gruden was encouraged by what he saw out of Williams on the practice field, but isn’t ready to put him back in the starting lineup just yet.Williams was injured early in the third quarter in a 20-6 loss to the Seattle Seahawks last Sunday. The third-year running back took a shot from Seahawks linebacker Lofu Tatupu on the ribs of his left side. He didn’t return to the game after the injury and didn’t participate in team drills on Wednesday.Gruden still holds out hope that Williams will be able to play against the New Orleans Saints in the home opener on Sunday.“Yeah I’ve been optimistic that he will play and today was a good sign although we will see how he feels tomorrow when we practice again,” Gruden said.Williams has never worn a flack jacket under his pads to protect any shots on his ribs, and Gruden made no indication that his injured running back wore one during practice.“I don’t know; I don’t believe he did,” Gruden said. “He looked slim and lean out there so I don’t think he had any extra padding. It didn’t look like he did.”
Will probably be available sometime around 4pm ESTBump for any additional info on whether or not he practiced today.. Level of participation etc....
