This kid has it all and will more than likely fall to the 2nd round.

Whoever takes Wells is going to be extremly disappointed.

I love Moreno but not sold on him being an every down back

Greene is looking very good but I'm not sold if his success was due to him or Iowa's Oline

McCoy will be great.

I think he'll get drafted by a good team in the second round (I would love to see Denver) and will explode in his rookie year very dimliarly ot MJD.

 
A lot of us have been talking about McCoy for over a year here.... not really going out on a limb here. :bag:

I'm glad to see there is still some intellegence here. I thought it was getting alittle crowded with guppies lalely.I'm praying, while owning the #1 and #4 overall selection in my rookie draft, that he goes somewhere good in the draft.
 
He hasn't declared yet but I emphasize YET. He'll declare by Tuesday is my bet.

I was reading up on him a little lately and saw where he ran a 4.25 40 his senior year in high school before his knee injury. The experts are saying his speed is still on its way back to the point. I take that as him getting faster in the next couple of years.

He tore up his ankle, not his knee.You need to calm your sig down. It's kind of annoying.

Just wondering, but why do you think Moreno "doesn't have what it takes to be an every down back" while you think McCoy does?

Both guys were the primary back in college, carrying 20 times per game without much of an injury history. The only knock people have on Moreno with regards to his ability to carry the load is with his size, of which McCoy is no better off.

:mellow:If you ever actually go in a 2009 rookie thread its pretty much a consensus that McCoy is a top 3 back this class, with several people ranking him #1. Crazy would be someone who thinks Beanie Wells is the #1 RB in this class :shrug:

Here's why I think that.I think Moreno and McCoy are very similiar in size to each other but each one's running styles are very different.I compare Moreno's violent running style to Cadillac Williams. He looks for the extra content and will do anything in his power to get an extra yard, that's why I love him. However, that kind of running style might not be the best for a 5-11 210 lb rb.McCoy is much different in his style IMO. He reminds more like Marshall Faulk with his style ,not as good of a reciever just stricting running back style. I don't see him taking a lor of big shots and therefore hopefully having a longer career.I do hope Moreno and McCoy both have great long careers but I just get the wow factor a little more with McCoy.I aplogize for not seeing all the other fans of McCoy on the rookie draft thread. I really didn't see that many of you and I thought me saying that the #4 or #5 ranked rb on most "experts" boards was my #1 was going out on a limb a bit.

His character just really scares me. I love his talent but his heart is definetly missing something. Then again, I don't know the guy. He definetly could end up being the best out of the group but I have a feeling I'll be playing against him instead of starting him on my team.
 
:lmao: right now the top 3 are close enough that I can't say any of them are "wrong", but it's a matter of risk/reward. Wells could be among the best in the league, or could wash out quickly with injuries, or just be a guy who produces when healthy but misses 5-8 games per season. Moreno, IMO, is the safest bet to be a consistent producer, while McCoy could be great.

Right now, the top 4 picks are roughly equal value IMO. Not unlike 2004 (SJax, Bell, JJ, KJ, and Fitz) or 2005 (Braylon, Brown, Caddy, Benson).

But, if I have to make the call today, I'll take Wells because I don't mind the risk.
