Calvin Johnson - Martz (1 Viewer)

I read a thread today about Stanton's long-term value being tied heavily to Martz and the fact that Martz may or may not be OC in Detroit long-term. How about Calvin's long-term value? What would be his outlook after this season if Martz were to leave?

I think Detroit may offer Martz the HC job if this seasons record is below 500

I agree, such a high profile former coach and Offensive genius would have a shot before they go outside of the organization. It would offer a bit of continuity for the players.

No meaning what so ever here..no idea why you might even think so? CJ will be one of the best no matter who the OC is or will be.

You don't understand why potentially losing an OC who runs a passing offense that puts up amazing fantasy football statistics gives him reason to ask this question?

I'm not overly concerned about Calvins long term outlook. Coaches come and go all the time, but the true studs usually remain studs. Calvin is getting the most important part of Martz...the teaching during his rookie year. Martz is a great offensive mind, and I think that overshadows the fact that he is an even better teacher, especially for rookies.

Correct. As great as CJ will be, if a dinosaur like the Herminator (3 - 3 yard runs and a punt) were to take over this team and put in one of his horrid OC's, CJ would become pedestrian.
