I have Calvin at 14 this week. Plenty of other good options to start over him. Guys like Victor Cruz don't get triple covered.
Not helping us Calvin owners now though. 2 weeks too late for FavreCo.I just hope the Lions staff has had some sense knocked back into them--throw the ball to Calvin, he's always open!!

He was right about one thing though; I don't think Cruz was triple covered.I have Calvin at 14 this week. Plenty of other good options to start over him. Guys like Victor Cruz don't get triple covered.![]()
dude just put me into 2 finals.
Can you let us know who they are? It'll make for a good laugh Monday morning.Crazy, but I may actually bench him since i have three strong WRs i can start in his place.
A post like this is pretty silly. You probably wouldn't even be in the playoffs if it weren't for Calvin's record-breaking first half.where was this last week? thanks for saving me third place at least...
Saved me from opponent's Roddy White + my stupidity in starting Tampa Mike Williams (he of the big, fat ZERO targets)Saved me from the onslaught of Drew Brees and Roddy White this week.
Teams have basically said, "Calvin is not scoring". I cant see anyway he gets a score the rest of the season, certainly not next week.
With the first pick in the 2007 NFL Draft the Oakland Raiders select: JaMarcus RussellThe Detroit Lions are now on the clock
Guy had a Jacksonville WR 2011 season in just one afternoon...
I wonder how many times this was brought up by Raiders' fans yesterday. With the first pick in the 2007 NFL Draft the Oakland Raiders select: JaMarcus RussellThe Detroit Lions are now on the clock
You can't imagine how many times I thought this over the years. I can't prove it, but I wanted Calvin over JaMarcus back in the day. While JaMarcus had more upside, Calvin was the safe guy. I still can't believe we ended up with a hole on our roster, when we could have had Calvin. Heck, we could have had ADP, but I'm still sore we didn't take Calvin.'Grahamburn said:I wonder how many times this was brought up by Raiders' fans yesterday.'billymays said:With the first pick in the 2007 NFL Draft the Oakland Raiders select: JaMarcus RussellThe Detroit Lions are now on the clock
He's going to blow up soon with some ridiculously huge game. 140 yds, 3td's.If you got this far with the Lions struggling to get Calvin the ball of late, how in the world can you fathom benching the guy?Start him with confidence, expect Detroit to make up for the 4 target week, and be happy you have the guy.
You can talk about defending Johnson, and you can game-plan for him and bump him at the line and try to pressure Matthew Stafford so he can't get the ball to him, but at the end of the day, or the end of the game, the math never changes: taller + faster > smaller + slower.
Johnson finished with nine catches for 214 yards, and he deserves nine game balls. This was a performance for the ages, the kind that should shut up Johnson's three remaining doubters, two of whom just moved to a cave in South America.
didn't bench him, but did bench Dez and started him with Jordy and Nicks. Hope you enjoyed the laugh'Grahamburn said:Can you let us know who they are? It'll make for a good laugh Monday morning.Crazy, but I may actually bench him since i have three strong WRs i can start in his place.![]()

They host the Chargers next week, and Ford Field should have a playoff feel. Win that game, and the Lions will be 10-5 and headed to the postseason for the first time since Johnson was normal size.
Brees and McCoy for me....Never sit your studs!'Ministry of Pain said:Saved me from the onslaught of Drew Brees and Roddy White this week.
Yeah, in my league where RBs get .25 ppr; WR get .5 ppr & TE (not mandatory, 2 FLEX spots) get full ppr, Megatron won't last once Foster/Rice/McCoy/Rodgers (& maybe Brees) are off the board (6 pts/any TD). I grabbed him at the 11th spot out of 12 this past draft. He'll be long gone at that point in the '12 draft in my league.I drafted him 5th in a 12-team non-ppr league. I finished 3rd and he was superhuman in the playoffs.Hopefully I can draft him again but there's no way he lasts to pick 8 next season.
Put those numbers together this morning myself and had to wonder if there's ever been a better four game stretch by any WR? That's averaging 192 yards a game and 1.5 tds. That is absolutely insane. I was lucky enough to nab Calvin at the bottom of the 1st in a 2 keeper league this year...don't think that'll happen next year. He'll be WR1 for sure and Stafford should be QB 2 or 3 in every draft now. Sure wish I had taken him in the 8th when in this league instead of relying on Vick as a keeper.'Ilov80s said:Calvin's last 4 games: 36 receptions, 771 yards, 6 TDs
Solid shtick here.Teams have basically said, "Calvin is not scoring". I cant see anyway he gets a score the rest of the season, certainly not next week.
