If you get a chance, check out the full highlites of today's game. Three things specifically worth watching for.

1. The TD pass to Lafell - I'm not sure if I've ever seen a rope thrown like that. May have been the definition of perfect spiral. Not sure if the ball ever left a zone between 9 and 12 feet above the ground.

2. Cam's ball handling skills - You saw the between the legs handoff last week. Watch the play fakes this week. He puts the ball into Stewart's gut and it even looks likie Stewart is touching it...bam, he yanks it out. Once he took off, once he pitched it to Williams who had acres of room to run. I'm not sure how they pull this off without fumbling. I thought I was watching the Globetrotters at times.

3. Cam's run skills - Today is what we were waiting for. Speed, power, and agility all on one run. We've seen them individually, today we got the whole package. Watch the highlite, after Cam juked his way around the LB, he got a big poop eating grin on his face for the next 30 yards. Gotta love a guy having enough fun to bust out a huge smile in the middle of a play.

I agree with everything you say here but Cam took a couple wicked shots today that I wish he didnt. Totally unnecessary with the game in hand. I hope he learns when to run and when not to run. That said he is a stud.

He is the most impressive rookie I've ever seen at any position. Randy moss was dominant as a rook, but what cam is doing is unprecedented.

He broke mannings rookie passing record when many thought of him as just a gimmick running qb coming out of college.

The nfl is blessed to have him, we're looking at what could end up being the greatest player to ever put on cleats.

:lmao: C'mon now.

If he doesn't have a major injury he will most definitely be in the discussion in 2025.No rookie has ever had a better season, and when it's all said and done it's possible there will be none who has had a better career. We are watching a guy who will change the nfl like Jordan did in the nba, tiger did in the PGA, and Gretzky did the NHL.

Enjoy the time we get to watch cam, life is short and we may never see a player like him again in our lifetimes.

Get outta here. Cant wait to revisit this in a year.

People laughed when we called him a top 5 dynasty qb after week 2, they ridiculed us when we said he was in the discussions as the #1 dynasty qb after week 13, and now we who think he will become the best player in the history of athletics are being laughed at and mocked.WE have been right so far, and in 2025 we will be proven right again.

It will be interesting to see where Newton goes in next years fantasy drafts. Once Brees plays on Monday night, Newton will be #3 in fantasy scoring behind Rodgers and Brees in my 4 pt passing ESPN league. This is coming off his rookie season with no training camp.I think an argument can be made that he will be undervalued going into next year and will out produce this seasons numbers.

with lafell getting better and getts coming back

You do realize Tampa quit on their season weeks ago?
So how about the other 14 games of dominance tht cam threw down on the league (minis the one game he played in a monsoon)? Were those teams that quit? I don't think the op was referring to the fact that the panter won as much as he is referring o cams sheer dominance playin the qb position already in the nfl in his rookie year. Anything can happen. Cam can have a sophomore regression a la Sam bradford. I doubt it but it can. Or he can get injured. But after watching him this year the smart money will bet that cam will only get better from here. His game will mature. He will learn the offense better. He will become more of a leader. The team will be his like the colts were to manning. His accuracy, decision making, poise...all should get better. And that my friends is scary, bc he is already awesome!!!

I think we're already seeing maturity growth. Cam's been making good decisions and has shown the ability to play well conservatively when the Panthers are out in front. They've won 4 of their last 5. In those games Cam has thrown for 8 TDs vs 2 INTs, while completing 60% of his passes and adding 5 scores on the ground. In the 6 games the Panthers have won, Cam's averaging 191 passing yards per game (305 in losses).

The Panthers have lead in all of their games except one this year. If they could have a couple of those games back with the way they are playing now I think they would be hell for someone come playoff time.

totally agree... next year they will definitely be a legitimate playoff contender as long as that defense continues to improve

Cam sure looks like the real deal. He has proven all the naysayers wrong. Including me. I am thrilled to have him on the team and I think we are all justified in looking for bigger things down the road.
