3 years left. How many years did he have left on his deal?
Huzienga has the highest paid coaching staff in the league. Wants to win in the worst way and seriously contemplated selling the team out of frustration before hiring Parcells. To answer your question I beleive Cameron had a 4 year deal.I'm curious to see who Tuna goes after? Sparano? Garrett? Or the OC from Arizona? How many years did he have left on his deal?
It's a good thing for him. Miami has to keep paying his contract or offer him a buyout. If they choose to buy him out he can work for another team. If not he can stay at home and still get paid. They'll probably offer a buyout and for the years work he put in he'll end up with 10 -12 million. Not too shabby.tough break for Cam... was in a no win situation with all the turmoil in Miami this year, I can't really see him being at fault for all 15 loses.
I have a feeling that this discussion took place particularly if Ireland is released before the draft which I understand Dallas would have the right to do (holding on to Ireland until after the draft). He won't go after Garrett, he'll stick to one of "his guys" and I could see JJ telling him "Ireland is yours but keep you hands off of Garrett"
Look for a very veteran coach to come here OR a new HC, like Todd Haley who was his passing game coordinator in Dallas.
One guy that may be a real sleeper is Steve Spagnuolo who coaches with BP's old buddy Tom Coughlin in NY.
I was just thinking about Marty, He could get them to 8-8 in two years. He is pretty good at turning teams aroundI would love to see some Marty ball down there, I just dont want them taking Garrett. If they did I want MArty ball in Big D.I could see that, MArty in MaimiHmm I wonder if the annual Dan Reeves name will be brought up soon. God I wonder how old ihe is now.
Cam has a nice paid vacation coming.3 years left. How many years did he have left on his deal?
Took him long enough.I hope they keep Houck for the Oline. I doubt he'll be a HC candidate - he's old - gotta be approaching 70 years oldhow about Hudson Houck? he was a stud this year working that o-line.
I have been hearing about this for a week, its old news and you weren't the first to bring it to us.Tony Sparano.....you heard it here first.
Please take Garrett. PLEASE!!!I'm officially on suicide watch...............please don't take Garrett.![]()
In this thread.....relax Francis.I have been hearing about this for a week, its old news and you weren't the first to bring it to us.Tony Sparano.....you heard it here first.
Not a Garrett fan? Please take Garrett. PLEASE!!!I'm officially on suicide watch...............please don't take Garrett.![]()
Parcells coexisting with Marty?I was just thinking about Marty, He could get them to 8-8 in two years. Before the firing, my first thought when Parcells came in was he should get Brian Billick. He's a proven winning veteran coach, not sure Parcells feels like gambling on some new young gun on what is pretty much his last hurrah here in the NFL.Tony Sparano.....you heard it here first.
Good choice although he did turn down the Atlanta job earlier saying he wasn't ready.......he takes this job he basically didn't mean I'm not ready, but I just don't want to come to Atlanta.Bill Cowher?
Hmmm. Forgot all about him. Didn't Miami try and lure him last year?Bill Cowher?
Ya, it's always something to worry about but Jerry Jones knows the potential Garrett has and also knows Wade Phillips is an older coach and won't be around forever.I'd be very surprised if we see Garrett leave to go anywhere and whenver it is that Phillips does leave, Garrett should be groomed to step right in and be the Dallas head coach.I'm officially on suicide watch...............please don't take Garrett.![]()
Didn't he die in the finale?Tony Sparano.....you heard it here first.
No doubt. After all the success in PIT it must have been a wake up call for him as far as being a HC somewhere else. Not that ATL is a team that cannot win, but due to the Vick factor it must have been uncomfortable to even consider. Of course MIA may be tough as well with Tuna(his peer) calling the shots.Good choice although he did turn down the Atlanta job earlier saying he wasn't ready.......he takes this job he basically didn't mean I'm not ready, but I just don't want to come to Atlanta.Bill Cowher?
Wonder if Cowher really doesn't want the start from scratch kinda job (Atl, Mia). Especially one with a lot of behind the scenes goings on. If I have his credentials, I'm looking for aGood choice although he did turn down the Atlanta job earlier saying he wasn't ready.......he takes this job he basically didn't mean I'm not ready, but I just don't want to come to Atlanta.Bill Cowher?
I read during my Falcons coaching search research that an interview will be done with Sparano.Tony Sparano.....you heard it here first.
If your name is Bill Cowher, you're not going from Pittsburgh to Atlanta to coach. No doubt. After all the success in PIT it must have been a wake up call for him as far as being a HC somewhere else. There is no way I could see Cowher working for the Big Tuna. When Cowher comes back he's going to want to be calling the shots...No doubt. According to the Sun-Sentinel, all but two assistant coaches were let go as well.Mularkey & Capers shuld be next in line to get fired.
The two coaches who have been retained are assistant special teams coach Steve Hoffman and linebackers coach George Edwards.
Mularkey is now availableIn a year where the Bills need an OC there sure are alot of big names out there.
This would be my number one choice but I just don't see it happening. Parcells will have too much control over the program for Cowher to be comfortable there. Can some one familiar with the Cowboys tell me about Sparano and Garrett. I have heard Garretts name but never even heard of Sparano. Why would either of these guys be a good choice to right the ship in Miami?Bill Cowher?
Cam will catch on as a coordinator pretty quick and he'll likely get another shot at HC down the road.

Maybe Tuna liked them from his DAL experience. This would be my number one choice but I just don't see it happening.
