Can Andrew Luck be trusted in the playoffs vs Minnesota? (1 Viewer)

I have to decide between Eli and Luck. I can't even decide who has more upside. They both could sputter or throw three scores. Luck has the running advantage; Eli's at home and it could be a high-scoring game.

The question was can Luck be trusted in the playoffs? The answer is no, but I might start him anyway.

I'm also questioning starting Luck. What about Rivers this week? I've got Luck still staying but I really can't decide.
I have the same options and didn't hesitate for a moment starting Rivers over Luck. Easy choice in my opinion. I think Rivers has both the higher floor and the higher ceiling this week.

I don't know what I'm basing this on other than perhaps desperation - both for my fantasy team and perhaps for the Colts themselves - but I think Luck is going to produce very good fantasy stats against MIN.

Harrison Smith may play with his grade-3 high ankle sprain.  I think that says something about what the Vikings see in their opponent.

I don't think the Colts will be able to run.  At all.  Luck may throw 45+ times if his patchwork OL can keep him upright.

He may throw 2 picks, but I'm envisioning 300 passing yards and 2-3 scores.  It will be hell getting there but if the OL can give him some time I think Luck can do some damage here.

So maybe just flinging poo against the wall and hoping it sticks, but there's enough clues out there at least for me... to feel somewhat encouraged.

Only other options would be Alex Smith (high floor, low upside), Flacco, Barkley, junk... thinking the difference between Luck's floor and a guy like Smith or Flacco's ceiling is worth rolling the dice on.

Go Luck.
The problem is that “patchwork ol"

The offensive line isn’t very good when they are healthy. I’m scared to see what it will look like tomorrow.

I’ve done fairy well with Andrew Luck all season. While his results haven’t been spectacular, most weeks he’s been more than solid and is a top five qb in our league...That said I have no faith in Luck this week against Minnesota.

Minnesota can cover well. When you combine that with the fact that, that the Colts O line isn’t very good, I am having visions of Luck have a line that looks something like 200 yards passing 1td and 2 int’s while being under constant pressure in Minnesota all day. To make matters worse both Donte Moncrief and Philip Dorsett are banged up and their status is uncertain....I don’t think I can let my entire season ride on a matchup on the road against one of the best pass defenses in the league.

Am I wrong to think this way? Is a mediocre guy like Andy Dalton a better option? Does anyone out there have more faith in Luck than I do in week 15?
No.its a bloodbath in minny tomorrow.

Luck sucks.Hes a tease..its time to call it..one week hes a world killer.next week hes browning nagle.

No thanks

The problem with Flacco is the weather tomorrow in Baltimore. Per Rotoworld:

Philadelphia at Baltimore (1:00 PM ET): Rain will fall on the matchup between Philadelphia and Baltimore, with warm 59 degree temperatures keeping the precipitation from moving to snow. Wind will be the main concern at M&T Bank Stadium, with 17 mph winds in the forecast that could gust 25 mph at times. Be sure to check pregame conditions on Sunday morning, as heavy winds could seriously impact kickers Justin Tucker and Caleb Sturgis.

Does this sway starting Flacco?

The Vikings have just abut shut down every qb they have faced this year. With an O-line in shambles I don’t think i can play him.

I too have the flacco/luck decision.

This might help me and others decide

Showers, mainly before 4pm. Patchy fog before 10am. Temperature falling to around 43 by 5pm. Windy, with a southwest wind 14 to 19 mph becoming northwest 21 to 26 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 39 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Benched Luck to start both Dak and Palmer (start 2 QB each week). Torn over the decision, but regardless of outcome always feel better if I just go with my gut.

    11 TDs in the previous 11 games before those two.  And for another "11", Philly's given up the 11th fewest fantasy points to QBs.

Not saying Flacco isn't startable.  He certainly is.  The floor here is 240-260 / 1-2.  Just don't think he has another 300+ 3+ type of effort in him, especially with weather slated to be a little wet and windy.
Fwiw, ravens have been throwing the ball like crazy since switching oc to passaholic morhningwheg.  So the full year is not necessarily predictive.  Eagles corners have been getting lit up in recent games and defense overall waning a bit.

weather is obviously a concern though.
