Why are people suddenly ripping the staff?  Did I miss something.  All of these new critics, please post your drafts and I'll go through player by player and make fun of you.  TIA.

The intent of this thread was not to rip the FBG staff. His schedule was brutal last year which explains his horrible stats. The Giants pass protection and health on their line was in disarray (feel free to ask Warner's neurologist). This offseason the Giants put together many weapons for Eli and set him up for success.

Just looking for any reasoning how a #1 pick, in a improving offense (most key players even in their prime), could be ranked one of bottom5 WORST fantasy QB's going into the season.

The point you are missing is show us one fantasy site or publication that predicted good/great things for Manning this year. It isn't like this site was predicted something vastly different than anyone else.

No, you have no clue. In a normal 12 team league at least 24 QBs will be drafted. Picks 19-23 are not backups, most are starting for NFL teams and of course they are sleepers. I looked at the MFL site for average draft position and Manning was 24th. You are trying to make something out of nothing here and the more you try the more you raise the tool factor.

FANTASY BACKUPS are QBs10-24. Thats what we play right? fantasy football?

Or course they are fantasy backups. You were not clear if you thought they were backups to starters in the NFL or fantasy backups.You just made my point. Who cares if Manning was ranked 17th, 18th, 22nd or 30th? Every fantasy site and every publication had him ranked as a fantasy backup.

I believe this thread has run its course. Undoubtedly, there will be a ton of Eli Manning threads over the nest 12 weeks to discuss how Footballguys, along with most every other web site/publication/talking head, underestimated the Giants high powered offense.Sorry you didn't get your answer, WeScoreMore, but I'm not sure there is one outside of "Oops".
