On the heels of last night’s Seth McClung deal, Jorge Cantu is on his way to the Reds along with Montgomery outfielder Shaun Cumberland and cash for a couple of minor-league pitchers—lefty Brian Shackelford and right-hander Calvin Medlock—and “future considerations.”

Actually the other prospect is somewhat interesting based on his numbers recently, plus it continues to free up space along with the Wiggy trade for Longoria, and Brignac, not to mention what they will do with Aki and Upton.

The charges were later dropped, and Shackleford was cleared
