Cardinals at Rams (1 Viewer)

So I take it that a lot of people in redraft are giving up on Ryan Williams after this game? Is it worth going after Powell or the other guy, Alfanso.....or is it just a lost cause?

Kolb should have thrown the ball to somebody regardless of cover. An interception doesn't matter.
True, but he'd be dragged through the mud here anyway. And honestly, did any of his receivers even get to the EZ before Kolb got leveled? O-Line is pitiful.

If you asked me before the season if I'd take 4-1 after the 5th game I'd laugh and ask you if you were nuts. Now, this one sucks, losing to a team that completes like 2 passes. Ouch.

Cards will smoke Buffalo next game.

Kolb needs a lot ofthings, and throwing with some touch is one of them. Needs to take a little off the fade routes...hes had five or six such throws

Nice Powell sighting but no sense of urgency down by 7 in a 2 minute drill situation.
And there shouldn't be from your own 6 in the first half
Points at the end of the half would have come in handy in a tight game here. :banned:
Really? Dude...the CArds were on their SIX yard line with 1 minute on the clock in a 7 point game. That is NOT the time to hurry up. After the personal foul and a nice play they were at the 40 and WERE in hurry up mode.

HIs fade to Doucet was perfect...had Doucet just run his route instead of trying to play cutesy handchecking with the corner it woulda had a chance.

Not when the trajectory is flat.....he needs to have some arc on some of his throws.

Williams ran hard and had some nice runs considering the blocking. But that o-line is crap. They were being dominated by the SL DL's. He was met in the backfield on several plays but actually did a good job of churning out 3-4 yards if there was even a sliver of a hole. But no RB has a chance when he's handed the ball on a draw and has 3 DL's in his face looking at him.Once Ryan becomes more involved in the passing game, he'll still be able to score when the Cards are behind. He was actually getting some plays in the no huddle and in passing situations.Curious how long the concussion keeps him out.

I still get irritated every time I see Calais Campbell make a play. Many people that the Skins would draft him late 1st in 08' but they traded down to make the great selections of Devin Thomas and Malcolm Kelly.Vinny Cerrato, one of the worst NFL GMs of all time.
Well, he put up a ZERO in the stat column tonight, so you shouldn't be too upset tonight.

I get it that it's not all on him but as far as fantasy it just seems like a lost cause, doesn't it?At this point you'd start him if you're desperate or you'd bench him and hope something happens...but really, how high is the upside?

Everyone in the NFC West is going to be a bad play for fantasy for a while... all four teams have good to great defenses. Only going to be a few guys really worth owning for a season when you play six of your games against those defenses.

The Rams defense has played Calvin Johnson, Brandon Marshall, and Larry Fitzgerald and have only surrendered 1 passing TD to a WR.

I think Jenkins is phenominal. He's spent most of his time on the opponents top guys.

Status update: Sam Bradford has completed 7 passes in this game.
3 or 4 drops and very little time to throw too. 2 TDS though
He had more time to throw than Kolb did.
not really
You obviously weren't watching the same game.I swear it's simply became "cool" to bash Kolb. Any other QB with less than 20 starts and people would be talking about his poise and moxy. That line is HORRIBLE and somehow he's kept them in games. Kolb isn't the reason Arizona's offense has looked anemic...he's the reason they've been in their games at all.

not really
9 sacks. 13 knockdowns.
I agree Bradford had more time, but at least 4 of those Sacks were on plays where Kolb could have gotten rid of the ball.
I seriously question the validity of this, but you could say the same thing about most QBs most weeks.

Felt sorry for Kolb. I can't remember a throw he made when he wasn't running away, or had a guy in his face/hanging off him. That O-Line is absolutely dreadful.

My opponent had Rams defence, and at 2pts per sack, this was not helpful to me this week.
