**Carolina at Green Bay**(-13.5, 44.5) 1:00 (4 Viewers)

Green Bay destroys the Panthers and I think they also cover too. Panthers are better with Bryce in than they are when he’s not playing but it won’t matter here. Kraft goes nuts, and this should be a blowout before halftime. Micah might take Young out of the game.

41-17 Packers

The teams favored by double digits this season is something along the lines of 8-0 so far, can that trend continue?
I usually prefer tot ake points, the Panthers are getting Bryce Young at QB in this football gam, anxious to see what he can do the 2nd Half of the season
He's got 2 good RB at his disposal, some key WRs coming off injury, Young just needs to prove he can consistently put up points, not much he can do about his defense.

Packer 33...Panthers 21

Big spread for an NFL game
Based on last week
Justified
Bryce back
Rico featured?
Watson a full go
I think The Pack have a firm grip on this one from the opening kick off
But maybe Rico scores late to cover
so...

Green Bay- 37

Carolina- 24

Interesting projections so far. The Vegas line has the O/U at 44.5 and we’re getting projections of totals in the mid 50s to low 60s. I think Vegas set that line low to elicit this kind of response, so the over smells a lot like a trap.

Vegas may be projecting a low scoring game with CAR only generating 10-13 pts maximum. That would still allow room for GB to post 28-30 pts and still hit the under.

Looking at a big margin win for the Pack and CAR not to do much on O at all.

Packers have played down to their competition all year. They are also coming off a big emotional game against Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers and also have the Eagles next week who beat them to open the season last year and ended their season in the playoffs. Buyer beware

Totally. This is a classic trap game.

I too feel a bit of a blowout here, where GB dominates but the Panthers get a late TD or 2 to make it seem like it wasn't a blowout. Packers are also very prone to taking their foot off the gas with big early leads.

I think the Panthers struggle to do much of anything on offense until late. Micah Parsons cashing after a QB with a high ankle sprain feels almost unfair. I think McMillan could get some garbage time, and maybe Dowdle as well.

For the Packers, I think the Panthers have an underrated pass rush, not that I think they'll get a bunch of sacks or anything, but more that I see GB having more of a shorter passing game. I think Love should play very well feeding guys with some RAC chances. Obviously Kraft, but I think Watson could get some slants/screens in his 2nd game back. I like Jacobs to hit the endzone and probably 100 yards unless they purposely choose to limit his workload.

Packers 28
Panthers-14

Was supposed to go to the game today, but life likes to get in the way sometimes. Hoping to be able to atleast catch some of it throughout the afternoon.

Green Bay continues to mature and all that talent is coming into it's own. It does have that trap game feel, but i think this team might be hitting their stride. If they can break the age old Packer habit of playing to the level of the competition they should continue to build on success.

Packers 31
Panthers 13

Packers look really good in most phases. Panthers get Bryce Young back who has been giving them at least league average QB play. If they can avoid getting down early and establish the run, they can keep it close.

Packers - 27
Panthers - 20

Was Bryce Young really out of bounds when Cooper ht him?
I agree it was a bit over the top but Young is all but celebrating and he's not out of bounds from the replay I saw

I'm sorry but that was a terrible call. Was Bryce Young clearly trying to get out bounds? Sure. But he was still a FULL YARD in bounds. So you should be free to still light him up.

I'm reminded of years ago where Mac Jones was "clearly" just jogging out of bounds as well and the defender pulled up, so Jones tucked the ball and turned up field and got like 15 extra yards and then taunted.

Eff that. If you don't want to get hit then hustle your butt out of bounds or slide before the defender gets close enough to hit you. "Hey chill out I'm just going to run out of bounds" isn't a get out of jail free card when you're still well in bounds.

Just saw the play. He was not OOB, but he also was VERY clearly going OOB, slowing up and holding his hand up. I'm ok with that flag as there was zero reason to blow up a QB giving himself up like that...and he WAS giving up on the play

Agree that he should have been able to escort him OOB...that was a huge hit that was clearly un necessary though

And I don't disagree but I would like to see the QBs not assume they will be treated well before they even get OOB
-If you are gonna do that, Young should just slide at that point

...just looking at CJS getting the late hit on the slide in the DEN-HOU game, oof

hit wasnt late though. Late slides are dangerous. Sliding last second is worse then not sliding at all

Which is why they should slide early. But running for a 1st down and then expecting everyone else to just get out of your way once you get there is junk. If you don't want to get hit, slide or get out of bounds and give up the 1st down. You shouldn't be able to have it both ways.

I realize we've come a long ways for the days of "jacked up" segments. But defenders already can't hit high. They already can't hit low. Now they're not even supposed to hit hard on a completely legal form tackle if the offensive guy raises his hand and says "I'm not trying here please don't hit me hard". Blech. I hate it.

Packers special teams are such trash. Their d can't get off the field in key situations. Also, penalties have been really bad this year. Regardless of record here, they aren't a lot of fun to watch if you're a fan. At least not for me.
